Seems that the Gauntlet is no joke! Word of advice, you'll want to put off tryharding and choke(or maybe even throw!)one more run if you want to see Flamewar's big plan of teaming up go through... Also, if you equipped the Shuriken Fist sooner on your second run, you would've gotten an Aim Line as an upgrade from the Extension Fist, which would've made the Shuriken Fist WAY more useful. And having today's runs always end with MX2...how poetic with how you used to always KO them as your rival.

Stacking up the zombies with all the upgrades was a fun experience when I played. Rather goofy if anything. Also a tip for the Shuriken fist, shoot their legs off with it when you block their attacks with the other hand, or just when they're unguarded. Can cut them in half with it if its on target.

@chaoshelm well it's pretty much the same thing you just keep doing the runs and whenever you fight the captain again it's the same one, but his weapons and skills are randomized. Whenever you become captain again you can bring the other looprunners in and have them ask a question. It's basically just for more of the storyline but maybe there are different ways the game can end if you start from scratch again

See, I really don't understand why they made the halberd able to be chopped in half like that. Like, it's REALLY fun to use, but it's objectively the worst option to ever use, as it's the ONLY equipment in the game that can be destroyed. I would say it's because the staff isn't made of laser like the everything else is (Even the shields have a laser border on the edge) but then there's the axes, which also aren't made of laser except on the cutting edge. And yet you can block a sword using the handle of the ax just fine. So it's just uniquely the halberd's staff that can be destroyed if you just slightly miss your target, or the physics glitch out on the enemy weapons causing them to snap up through the pole, etc. I used it to great effect on one run, but it's actively choosing to play that run on hard mode. I'd even say the normal dagger is better, since you can at least still block attacks with it if you're good enough. Also, you can actually hold the dagger in a reverse grip, which is fun if you want to go with default sword in one hand, and reverse dagger in the other. Gives an Ahsoka Tano feel from Star Wars.

The durability is there as a countermeasure to the Halberd being a hard counter to any melee enemy(which is to say 95% of them). Personally speaking, I think that either all of the weapons should be destructible, or none at all.

@@SwordBotMk3 Could be a fun compromise if they made the non-energy parts resistant to heat, but not immune. So you could use them to block, but the more you block with them the more they heat up and glow red, until they are eventually cut through. Because having a random stray arrow wing your polearm or the tip of someone's sword barely touching it, cutting it clean in half is just depressing. Especially since there's no way to sheath a secondary weapon on your hip or something. Actually, I'd be perfectly fine with the halberd as it currently is, if we could just keep a sidearm on the hip as a backup.

I think those pike robots are good because the mistake you’re doing is putting your hands too close together. Not sure if that’s just the game but if it’s not then try grabbing a bit further so you have more control. Putting your hands too close together with the pike is basically holding a double handed sword with one hand(as seen in this video it sucks).

I run dual katanas with extension fist and shuriken fist. It's equally OP if you're okay with one handing big weapons, and the extension fist takes your wrist movements into account so you can inspector metal gear gadget dice them up from a distance. xD

i'm gonna be honest, i was really expecting this to just be Clone Drone in the Danger Zone, but in VR. not really sure if i like this campaign mode tbh. its cool, but it's missing all the other bots and skills, and the full skill tree that the original had. i do like the whole turbofist system, but it would be nice if you had access to the old skill tree.
