It's crazy how much clone hero has outstripped the games it took inspiration from. The high level dynamics on the drums way increase the "authentic" feel that the RB drums started (with the cymbal expansion), and customizability is worlds better. Amazing work

You know what’s surprising? Most songs on Rock Band were already mapped for E-drums/Pro-Drums day 1. That’s the roadmap they had and it shows how committed, plan driven and future proof Harmonix were since they released their first game. Totally with you on loving the game and I actually prefer RB charts than anything else.

I downloaded it a few days ago since I finally got a PC, and being a lover of GH3 I just had to... I was surprised seeing the new update, and while looking for songs, I saw a leave the door open silk sonic chart. I thought that song was nice, so I downloaded it, little did I know it was a drums chart... but I still wanted to play it... SO I was playing a drums chart.. on a guitar. Song went hard still.

GREAT!!! i was able to set up everything almost flawlessly the first time... I play drums, so the only confussion was forgetting not all GH title carry drums... once i got that arranged and deleted, only keeping RB and GH files with drums, everything seems to work pretty well. TONS of songs, im going to have to start a streaming channel now that i have so many songs ready for playing to! thanks a ton

Always nice to have videos like these so it makes it easier to know what's been added or fixed. I'm wondering if CH will ever get official Rock Band keyboard support. I currently have my keyboard set up with MidiDrumHero. Also would you recommend getting a E-Drum for Clone Hero? I currently have the Band Hero drums but the problem I have with it is that the foot pedal sometimes registers a single kick as a double kick.

Thanks for this great video! I LOVE the to the point tutorials and try to do the exact same style myself. I'm really excited to try Clone Hero with my E-kit. I've been playing Rock Band since it released and appreciate an alternate option. Especially with the ridiculous prices of replacement MIDI Pro adapters and the PDP Xbox One adapter. Thankfully my stuff still works but I can't see paying $1k for a new PDP adapter lol.

If you have guitar hero drums it is possible to make it work. The problem with gh drums is that red and yellow is the same button. If you open it up and cut the wires for yellow and orange (so orange is Yellow). One thing, it has 1 smal wire in it. Separate the coppers to 2 sections and And then connect them together. Then it works! Everyone doesn’t have the money for new drums so good thing to try if you have a drum set waiting for you! Hopefully you understood everything, my English is sadly not the best.

This is just freakin' good timing on not only my part but Clone Hero as well!🤔I just got a new electronic drum kit (Alesis Turbo as the Nitro was more expensive and I couldn't do that right now, I just wanted to quit using the Rock Band drums which are shite), and I thought maybe I could see if Clone Hero had any updates to finally have drums be usable and what do ya know, it had just recently been updated with full drum support!😆I also like the added difficulties so that it's not only expert anymore. I'm fine on expert on the drums but not as much with guitar as some songs are insane on expert.

Probably not in Clone Hero, the devs have said no future updates will include new features. The CH devs are working on an original project called Strikeline though, which might include vocals.

**TIPS FOR PEOPLE HAVING OVERHITTING/SENSITIVITY ISSUES SETTING UP PRO DRUMS ON EKITS***(and also kick pedal triggering cymbals) I use a Roland TD-1 IN GAME SETTINGS: CYMBALS(Y/B/G) 15 Velocity Threshold 15 Overhit Threshold KICK PAD 05 Velocity Threshold 20 Overhit Threshold SNARE 15 Velocity Threshold 10 Overhit Threshold (Toms are left at default settings) DRUM BRAIN SETTINGS FOR CYMBALS I have all zones on the EDGE of the cymbals turned to off. I Map the MIDDLE ZONE of the cymbal instead because they just trigger more consistently in the game imo. Cymbals Velocity/Sensitivity: 4 Kick Pad Velocity/Sensitivity: 1 All other pads: 5 (I have Crash 1 as a second cymbal for Yellow and have that set to 1 velocity) Im not 100% sure if these settings will apply to everyone else considering my TD-1 is almost 2 years old now but if you’re having this issue it’s worth a try Make sure your drum frame is super stable, tightened as much as possible and not shaking around when hitting the bass pad. (This is super important for making sure you’re not triggering any cymbals when hitting the kick pad) Let me know if this helps!

Crazy how after this long there's proper guide/tutorial or guide/tutorial at all in either video or text form for the coloring. What changes what's color? The names for everything are either vague or trash, no preview of your changes like a corresponding picture or something, not even an info button/window with a short explaination on what the parameter wanna change is, like "Animation Starpower Active Phase = Color of the star gems glowing rims". The Color Editor is impractical to learn. Tedious af. A not so beginner friendly program/feature in my experience trying to get the hang of it.

Mysteriously version 23.1 for Android disappeared from the downloads menu, only 22.5 remained if I'm not mistaken, which was earlier than the first one mentioned. when asked or mentioned over there on their Discord server, the guys treat the subject with disdain, almost arrogant I might say... as if we have an obligation to change devices to be able to play the latest versions. Anyone who still has the installer for version 23.1, post it there because for the owners it's neglect, a lost cause and no longer found anywhere.

easiest thing to do would probably be to go to the master spreadsheet and just check for ones with drum charts. tbf my dumb self was trying to get rockband drums working but no avail and will probably not come as they are done updating. the 16 or so songs that come with clone hero should have drum support tho, so at least until you figure it out you will have a limited group of songs to practice with
