Man, Jason is quite the character. I feel like I can kind of relate. He has sparks of comedy that nobody will hear unless right next to him, and yet then he can be very profound. He can go from manic to calm in a split second, and that's great. It made for a really enjoyable episode One big thing I need to argue is the acquisition of Star Wars. Obviously, fans are still a little sore that Clone Wars was dumped almost immediately, but it has worked out for the better for the most part. Rebels has been getting better with each Season and this upcoming final Season looks killer and we had half the trailer be reused footage. But I think Disney would have still bought Star Wars, Clone Wars or not. I feel that is something they had been wanting to do for awhile, and the same day as they announced acquisition, BANG! "We're making three new episodes for the saga as well as one anthology film every year inbetween." Then they cancel Clone Wars and for the most part, nothing prequel era has been touched. Occasionally you get a thing here or there, you get a reference, particularly in Rebels where threads of Clone Wars were continued, but not much prequel era stuff. Now part of it may be that enough of Clone Wars had been made, the prequel era stuff had been expanded upon enough, but then they're doing everything to rekindle original trilogy focused stuff and the new content, with a lot of focus on the original trilogy era stuff. And it's not that Clone Wars was not seen as good, but was seen as a little good thing among a bunch of negative feedback for the portrayals of the story before and after when this one show takes place. They had an agenda to push new stuff for things that were completely new and for what already had positive reception, but I don't think it's because Clone Wars was doing well enough that it made them want Star Wars more, otherwise there would be a bigger focus on prequel era content as well. This is also one of those things where, a universe as big as Star Wars can't have everything being focused on at once, that's why Old Republic fans are still complaining, but I think there would be a bigger push to at the very least incorporate more prequel era stuff in with the rest of Star Wars, because it's not Disney running all that it owns, it's everyone working in those departments. Marvel is run by Marvel and then Disney takes a look and okays what it wants. ABC is run by ABC and then Disney takes a look and okays what they want. Star Wars is run by Lucasfilm and then Disney takes a look and will probably okay anything because Lucasfilm has their story team making sure all the pins and strings or in the correct spots on the conspiracy wall. But if there is prequel stuff in development, it may just not be okayed because they know it's still risky. Upon further consideration, I'm also reinterpreting the statement of Clone Wars helping Disney acquire Star Wars. Clone Wars is hard evidence that Star Wars was not a dead brand as evidence of all the positive fan reception. But because they had the agenda of one movie per year for at least five years once Episode VII comes out, it feels like they didn't need anything to prove to them that obtaining Lucasfilm wasn't a good idea. They were going to make content regardless because Star Wars brings in consumers. I'm pretty sure that Indiana Jones movie is still underway, and with Harrison Ford no less. It was already shocking enough to everyone that there was an Indy movie in 2008 after all that time, but now another one ten years later? I feel like that's the thing any company would do once acquiring a property. They clearly bought it so to not let it sit on the shelf, but do something with it. Once Warner Brothers got the rights for an American Godzilla, Kaiju movies are being made despite the 1998 "flop" (I like it.) from Sony via Columbia and Tristar. Unless it is purely out of spite, a company does not just obtain a property without putting their stamp on it somehow for consumption. (They may later let it gather dust, but they can always use it later unless they sell it off or license it.) I don't feel like you need proof of life in a property to then use said property. Now when it comes to giving a property a boost, Samurai Jack and Young Justice are proof that fan interaction can influence creation. Even Deadpool was made because Fox saw that there was enough fan reception to a leaked animation and now he will be gaining more exposure in the Fox X-Men movies as he is integrated into more properties within the house like X-Force. And a fan-made short film based on Power Rangers convinced whoever made it, to make a Power Rangers movie. (I never saw either thing as Power Rangers has never been on my radar, but that's the story.) But I don't think that Clone Wars influenced Disney to want Star Wars all the more because it was being acclaimed as much as you suggest. Outside of weird contractual agreements, wouldn't Clone Wars have at least been allowed to go the distance to at least a full Season 6 and even possibly a Season 7 on Disney XD instead of cancel it? That would have left a number of fans very pleased and more on Disney's side. I know it would have made my acceptance and assimilation process from the new overlords go a lot smoother. I'm going to end it there. Congratulations Jason, you have gotten me to make one of the most involved comments I have made on KZbin. I usually leave a nice compliment on how good the episode was like the very first paragraph, but this turned into something else. Even I was expecting just one paragraph half the size of the second one, and here I am writing a fourth. And I want to clarify that if anything came across as rude towards you, that is not my intent... but I must win my argument through continuous verbal onslaught that is hopefully still respectful. Say "Uncle?" Oh yeah, RIP any headphone users from that censor. James, that was very sudden, loud, and high pitched; memers would be proud, but still... Ow.

Don't get me wrong I love Jason Spisak! But Lux is not good enough for Ahsoka, she can do better.
