Notice that when we first see the Wolfpack, their armor is highlighted with black. After the attack by the Malevolence, the color changes to grey, which in Mandalorian culture signifies mourning a lost loved one.

@@waveburner1254 That's not true. There's no info on what happened to him at the moment. TCW screenwriter Henry Gilroy said his personal headcanon is Wolffe followed Order 66 for a time until Rex got to him. However because he had his chip removed long after its activation, he was still paranoid about Jedi, hence why he was so jumpy towards Kanan in Rebels. It's the closest thing we have to what happened to him and it has nothing to do with his eye or chip malfunctioning.

The Wolfpack is the best clone battalion, they seem the most specialized and based on the series shows us provides most of the relief aid and handles most humanitarian crisis. They also had the closest relationship with their jedi General. They didn't only respect plo koon because of his rank but also because of how much he respected and treated his troops almost like brothers. It was also the most heart breaking to me when order 66 was executed.

The different type of Plo's mask convinced me that the suspicious tentacles that are part of his normal mask are piece of breathing section, not his tusks like everybody tends to think. It's likely that Wolffe went as she knew him a lot better and that they thought she would be more calm and less likely to run away with his presence. tactically it made sense, but unit wise Thorn would've made more sense due to being a lower ranked CG commander plus his model was already made as shown with part of his fight scene used in the Season 5 trailer. No model for a phase 2 Thire was made and Stone hasn't shown up since season 1.
