3:20 lars didn’t hit the toms, so they animated the toms moving to make it seem like he was playing them 😭 from all the clips i seen from this game, lars does his little thing where he adds stuff to the songs or plays them differently just like he does live and it’s so cringe when the studio drums don’t match up with what he’s doing lmfaooo

The drums movements are a different system. It's based on the drums_notes which is in turn either programmed by the developers or took from the drums chart

@@maxthemartyr3374 again the stage was chosen at random. Rob was already part of Metallica for many many years when the game was released. And both Rob and Kirk mostly use loop animations in this song.

Rob was still a recent addition when this game was being worked on, and they decided to not add Jason because they wanted Rob to feel included. In the main campaign, One is indeed played on the Justice Tour set in Full band, as well as Singleplayer Bass and Drums. In Lead or Vocals, One is at Donnington Park or Tushino Airfield respectfully, both of which are based around their black-album era tour.

@@Archive222 They intentionally kept Jason out of the game because at the time of the game's production, Rob was still new, and they didn't want to make him feel left out. (Especially since Death Magnetic was being produced at the same time and only All Nightmare Long made it into the setlist, so Rob would have had a grand total of one song to his name) If you input the 80's appearance cheat, Rob dons his Suicidal Tendencies getup.

This is not surprising. Most songs sound better in the game. Even the Death Magnetic album used in the game as DLCs are pre-compression masters thus having better sound.
