What I would need would be a Bluetooth or WiFi module that transmits the C64 image and sound signals to my smartphone so that I can use the smartphone as a monitor for my C64. Many greetings - Karl.

Does it upscale when recording? How is the visual quality of that function?

It does not do any upscaling. I records captures the native quality of the video. You can use AI upscalers for enhanced video.

How does it handle 4/3 and 16/9? Does it stretch? No one wants to see video stretched horizontally.

It records at the video's native aspect ratio. And does a pretty good job with it.

8 hours to render 10 seconds of video is absurd. So 2 full days to render a minute of video? Seriously?! Wow.

Agree! This was my biggest disappointment, but since this video, there are much better ways to upscale using AI and other tools. I would NOT buy this for their upscaling software.

Not on this device. But the BoxPro (see video description for my videos on that device) includes VGA. They are roughly the same price.
