The point of Jar Jar’s character was that everyone always underestimated him. Banished because he was clumsy, treated like a burden by the Jedi. But when it came down it it he was brave and loyal and made what difference he could, even to save people he barely knew. Even when Palpatine manipulated his trusting nature, Jar Jar was just doing what he thought was right. In Phantom Menace this could have been leading to a “Darth Jar Jar” twist planned early on but scrapped after the backlash. I’ll settle for him getting to prove his heroism to his doubters in TCW.

These Royal Guards made a split-second decision to sacrifice themselves for the jedi and fight against the Republic's army, despite the fact that the jedi were declared enemies of the state. They acted faster than the inhibitor chips that forced the clones to kill the jedi. Now that is badass. Not only did they understand how Palpatine, their own senator became a dictator who has to be opposed, they died for something they believed in.

In the old stuff Naboo was one of the first words to rebel against the empire. Their queen hid multiple Jedi, but the empire found out and invaded, they even had her assasinated. It was a huge embarrassment because it was the emperors homeworld. The Naboo guard fought back hard, but it all fell apart after their defense grid got shutdown.

It was the first time the 501st was called upon to "adjust" a planet's government, but it wouldn't be the last. Within months, the 501st gained a well-deserved reputation as "Vader's Fist.

the older I get looking back at BF2 the campaign really didn't make much sense. For one, the 501st were apparently everywhere, both during the Clone Wars and even in the Empire era. Things like the Kaminoan rebellion and the Naboo uprising also don't make much sense when you consider how brutally efficient and pragmatic the Empire were, especially in the early Dark Times. I remember reading somewhere that the entire campaign is actually post-Endor Imperial Remnant propaganda, which explains the many inconsistencies and also explains why it apparently ends at Hoth with a crushing Imperial victory and the further events of the story are not elaborated on. Having said that, it was an awesome campaign, and the clone trooper's logs made it feel like a real war. Shame BF2's maps were inferior to BF1's

I think her guard captain (the one with the eye patch) went against the empire later on. And also the clones were trying to kill a child.

Jon Favreu did a really amazing job with the clone sequences here than the Kenobi show. Here, since they're clones, they look the same height, and I don't know how but the clone armer looks better than the clones in the Kenobi Series, while in the Kenobi show, they're all different heights😂 and finally Jon Favreu got the blue color for the 501st correct here😁

And trust me, I loved seeing Hayden back as Anakin as well as seeing live action clones, but when you put more attention to detail, it makes it even better just like what Jon Favreu did. But if in the clone wars animated show, all clones are the same height, why can't it be it in live action? As well as the color scheme of the 501st? They could've edited the extras playing clones to be the same height but they didn't. I'm not trying to provoke you or an argument, but it's just that, yes, some star wars fans won't notice and some will. Those that do notice, like me, just appreciate it even more when they put that level of attention to detail no matter how small. Like I said again, not trying to argue, just stating my honest opinion and both shows were good in their own way.

However, if you think about it, if directors decide to not put any attention to detail just like they did with the sequel trilogy which was unfortunate, Star Wars content would be really low quality and lazy, which unfortunately as well, has been kind of happening. Trust me, I'm not trying to talk bad about the shows but I just dont wan't them treating Star Wars content like Marvel is treating theirs, low quality series as if they're from the CW. It did. Because later the queen of a boo at that time is killed when she tried to build up her police security forces to an independent military and was promptly killed for resistance in the battle front 2 star wars game timeline. Although I'm not sure if its kept cannon in this.

For example, you have the 501st engaged in helping Obi-Wan take down Grievous, despite that clearly being the 212th in the film. There are a few other times when you have the 501st fight battles they clearly weren't part of (Mygeeto was done by Marines, for example) - it was more about having the player partake in the "big fights" of the movies with little concern for lore.

@@trianglemoebius Battlefront 2 is more canon than the horrible lore Disney has put out. And no, the game did not "contradict the movie several times". Just because the 212th fought at Utapau doesn't mean other units weren't present. The idea of a small detachment from the 501st being sent around to participate in various engagements makes perfect sense, and is commonly used in our own military conflicts. Same with Mygeeto. The idea that again, a small detachment of the 501st is sent to Mygeeto in the waning months of the siege to capture an important asset for the Chancellor makes perfect sense. The 21st Nova Corps was already largely committed to the siege at this point. Trying to reallocate deployed units is a nightmare. Much easier to grab a small detachment of 501st awaiting orders. But after Filoni's disaster that was the last few seasons of the clone wars with the horribly stupid inhibitor chips, and the Disney sequel movies completely and totally erasing the established lore, I don't think it's fair to say that BF2 had little concern for lore. If anything, it cared more about the lore than anything that came after it.

The Clones didn't blast away because not only would the whole platform be destroyed, the rubble would fall down to the surface of the roads, probably killing a shit ton of people. Also, the clones didn't expect the Naboo Guards to be hostile as well. They landed so they could specifically attack the Jedi.

Watching the clones and Naboo army fighting each other, at my point of view its so sad. Order 66 and the Empire being Born makes this more shocking for me. For 3 years they were allies, now they end as enemies forever. Neither the clones and Naboo inhabitants wanted these. Palpatine did it. His victory and evil leadership.
