For all those watching, Luis is using a propagation technique called Air Layering...it's a very good technique and old...it works really well but does take some practive. Luis,yYou know I love a good experiment~ I use the same rooting hormone and it works fine for several things i've tried. Hopefully yours is still good... Good Luck my friend

@OldSchoolPrepper I learned this from my father years ago, I've had success with this technique, the only difference is I'm trying old rooting hormone and compost from the run lol, my father wasn't technical enough to tell me what the technique was called, all I know is it works.

@marygallagher3428 The experiment is, this is usually done with store bought potting mix, but in a real deal SHTF ,store bought potting mix won't be around, I have had multiple success doing this with store bought potting mix, I'll be looking for roots in 2 months.

👍👍...Nice experiment....looking forward to see the results....I have a lemon tree that I actually grew from seed as an experiment 3 yrs ago and is just way too tall for my space...I will be "re- -rooting" it again with the intent of creating a space saving bush type plant instead of a 7+ foot tree growing in my closet...🌴🌴🤣🤣...Hey, switching gears keep an eye on that huge hot Tropical mess coming off the coast of Africa headed towards the Caribbean .👀🌀👀
