Complacency is awful. When i am going in the right direction, I end up getting complacent and talk myself into eating crap food. Im a junk food addict and need to abstain completely. I am easily triggered and cant stop with just one. Food addiction is exactly like other addictions such as cigarettes, alcohol, gambling etc. You sound like you are ready to up your dose? Try that and see how that works. I dont like exercise. At All. My sister in law gave me her treadmill and i actually walked for 20 minutes! That might be a good option? I also heard that 10 minutes of jumping on a trampoline is like 30 minutes of running. They trampolines can hold up to almost 500lbs so no need to worry about breaking it. Make sure you get a bungee held one and not the springs if you decide to give that a go. My weakness is crisps. especially ready salted with homemade french onion dip. Ive accepted I'll never have again :) I took my first jab last Wednesday 11th of Dec. Im a few weeks behind you but so glad i found your channel! Im learning so much from you and really appreciate that you started this journey on you tube to share with all of us.

I am going to ask my Dr to up my dose after 4th week. Im so glad you are doing better. Gallstones are so painful. Speedy recovery from your thyroid surgery

Hi sweetie, 65yr old here. I’ve just finished week 5- struggling to eat, drinking plenty but have gone off black coffee ( my addiction 😂 ) . I’m staying on 2.5mg at the moment, suppression is so strong. Never known sleep like it, used to wake up at 5, now its 7.30. I go walking- about 2.5-3 miles 5 times a week, really enjoying it now. The constipation is awful but no other side effects. Would love a FB group, there are so many, but to be honest I’m sick of spammers and Med Ex duscount codes. Xxx

I am on 10mg and the appetite suppression is very high with this dose, I think I will be on this dose for at least 8 - 12 weeks. I could very easily stop eating as food just doesn’t taste the same. I am forcing myself to eat to get adequate calories (1200 per day), I have noticed that my choices are getting very lazy, I used to enjoy cooking and prepared healthy meals, lots of veg, good quality proteins etc.. Maintenance will be interesting, I think that Mounjaro will be part of my life going forward

Im exactly the same on 10mg.. suppression is off the scale but I still crave sugar .. I have all the way through… bizarre 😂🤷🏼♀️

I get the reward and guilt thing. I can’t just have one so the only answer for me is to not have them near by. Don’t beat yourself up. We all fall off the horse once in a while. The strength comes in getting back on. Christmas is terrible for choc and the wrong food. Get over this hump and look forward to better times. A loss is a loss and a pound a week is over 3 stones in a year.

Totally normal. At first I could only eat a few bites every few hours. I can eat about 500 calories- one premade meal. Try to eat chocolate and grosses my stomach out later. Best things so far- tofu-complex carb-veg. Blueberries and almond milk and collagen shake I'll try soon. Right now fatigue is just bonkers... getting used to whole different life

Hi Jackie, I am now 23 weeks and also suffer with weeks where I could just not eat at all. I do not fancy food. I have stayed on 5mg as anything higher would just stop me eating. I do eat little and often as I am terrified of getting sick. As for real cravings I would say give in to them every now and again because otherwise the cravings will get huge. I rely on skinny bars. They are not fabulous but they are low calorie. So I eat one rather than something full of sugar. I can't stop at one choc.as a sugar addict I am not yet at a point where I can stop at one.

Hi Jackie, the exercise vlog is a fab idea. Im on week 3 and lost around 4lbs. I am a T2D so have cut my carbs and eat protein & veg at most meals but struggle to get my 1200cals in. I've started some strength training and want to join the gym in Feb (after the numpties have left in Jan). Ive never beenn able to do push ups so like your pull up challenge, im going to do 5 by end of March. Good luck and keeep going xx

When the food noise creeps in, I know I need to bump up my dose a bit! You're doing so well, Jackie. I have lost 25 pounds in 12 weeks and am now on 10 mg. Mentally, I feel so much better and much more clear. I am disabled and can't exercise but I do go to physiotherapy in a pool once a week so my enormous chest isn't an issue in the water. For the clothes issue, I have now purchased sweaters and shirts on EBay as knits are more forgiving when you're changing size. You just hang in there!

I'm on 5g,struggling to eat at week 8. Bread is a no no,it does not seem to be digesting well. I've cleared the cupboards of crap,shopping delivered,to much temptation in the shop. I stupidly had a blow out one day last week,but still lost 2lb. Our bodies are literally in fat burning mode.

I had very high suppression on 2.5 and by the end of week four I was really sick. I’ve shelved the whole thing until the new year. I did lose 1st 4lbs in a month. I may just inject once a fortnight just so that my body has some recovery time. I don’t need to move up. Fast weight loss is not my goal. Chicken stew and tuna sandwiches have been my saviour.

I started weight training and low calories before starting Mounjaro. Best thing I did. Although the weight loss was very slow, until I added Mounjaro. Like you I have all the fat excuses. I did Mounjaro for two months but I have had to stop both strength training and Mounjaro because my sodium levels dropped really low, a lot of the symptoms are similar to the side effects of Mounjaro. Struggling to eat was one and nausea. It turned out to a high blood pressure tablet, my blood pressure is actually very good now, better than it has been in years. So I hoping after Christmas to start back with both as I am struggling just to maintain while not doing either. 😢

I’m diabetic. On mounjaro for that. The premise is you have to change your diet. Maybe you’re lifestyle Sugar is additive. There isn’t enough peptide you could take that’ll be a permanent weight loss fix. That’s obviously why you hear the stories of people gaining all back and more. Work with the drug. It’s there to help Think of it as a partnership. There’s literally tons of healthy snacks and easy recipes to ease those cravings. And please,please, please. Drink lots water That will help drop the pounds as well. I wish you good luck

I am a carb/sugar addict and cannot have any. There is no having one. If you are having cravings that is the food chatter. You need to be taking the prescribed dose. MJ DAMPENS THE CRAVINGS. I don't have particular cravings but I do see posts by those who have them and they come back when your body adjusts to the dose.

I am on a roll right now at having BS low, no hunger, or desire to eat. Lost a couple of pounds. In week 13 and Have lost 27#, not a lot but it moves along slowly. I have a difficult time with breakfast/lunch. Use Keto Chow for dinner. Remembered endocrinologist recommended Fair Life protein shakes in a bottle. I hated Premier Protein in a bottle so haven't looked at the Fair life. Broke down and bought a case. They are pretty good and if I say that most people will love. The Core Power has 26 and 42 g protein depending on size of bottle. I don't have many side effects with Mounjaro--not like I did with Ozempic.
