This all looks good on paper and makes a nice video but the reality is in the field are Lookouts are rarely in a good spot to give us information radios are often clogged or no one knows what the correct channel is cuz everyone's swapping and talkin the answer is let these fires burn I don't get paid enough for this shit

Vic Rattlehead let these fires burn is rarely the esprit d corps of firefighters. That’s why there are so many civilians? There’s no shame in being a civilian. I’d be happy to let the fires burn if weren’t being taxed to support a bunch of firefighting agencies whose sole reason for existing is to, you know, at least attempt and occasionally succeed at putting them out. Waste of training and equipment when people are just not even interested in trying to do their jobs.
