Close encounter with elephant in Serengeti

On my trip to the Serengeti, Tanzania we encountered a massive male elephant. He walked to the car and everybody in the car had to be absolutely silent. The ranger said that the elephant could not distinct people in a car, he just sees a car or big object. I had a 'Jurassic Parc' moment: the one with the angry dinosaur looking through the window...
