Thank for sharing your fishing adventures here on KZbin. What you do isn't easy. Deciding where to go, preping the 'yak and gear, getting out on the water, keeping the commentary PG, and editing in post. Duplicating your efforts is hard. I appreciate what you do! You are always positive and produce great content.

@@JLDoss no he didn't. Are you referring to the fish he guessed at 1 and a half pounds / 2 and a half pounds? If so, both were 3 ounces short of the half lb mark.
@davidpye78284 жыл бұрын
If you put work for it it’s not hard, at the start by weigh something u bring fishing something easy that weighs 2-3 pounds then u can compare and give you a more educated guess, if it’s over the weight of whatever you weighed you will easily tell.

That little john is a great crank, but it can't do everything. It dives deeper than a typical squarebill and it's more of a spoonbill than square. When you're hitting that shallow grass, try a 1/8th oz speed trap when shallow or the strike kings. The true squarebills deflect grass better. Nothing you can do about hair algae though.

I'm not familiar with this spot. But Sugar Barge is a good spot as long as you have the time to explore around. They aren't necessarily biting everywhere, and there's no guarantee of Tanks , but there is definitely a lot of fish, and it's a nice natural environment once you get a bit away from the launch and the docks. I am fairly new to bass fishing, but at that spot as long as you are willing to explore and try different things you will probably get on some fish. Its popular tho. Go early if you can.
