"Graviteam Tactics: Mius-Front - tactical battalion level combat simulation. It is a sequel to Graviteam Tactics: Operation Star and Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.
Game is comprised of two modes:
Operational - turn-based mode where you can shift and concentrate forces in the chosen directions, resupply and replace units, repair and refuel vehicles.
Tactical - real-time mode where you are conducting fire combat with the enemy, capturing territory, destroying vehicles and the enemy manpower.
Four large-scale operations for the Red Army and Wehrmacht with realistic organizational structure. The campaign features more than 100 detailed vehicles produced in USSR, Germany, US and UK. Over 140 sq. km of realistic landscapes were reconstructed from topographical maps and photo and video materials.
-New enhanced UI: streamlined interface of various panels, radial orders menu and other enhancements.
-Interface appearance and customization: three variants of appearance are included, customizable unit markers (Red Army, Wehrmacht, NATO).
-High replayability and advanced AI, which selects the best strategy based on behavior, not a predetermined script.
-Advanced management of forces in the operational phase: reinforcement strategies and management of reserves.
-Statistics keeping: performance of each unit is recorded (kills, losses, awards, etc.). After each battle, damages and condition of forces and vehicles are shown in the after battle statistics.
-Battlefield simulation: realistic vision devices, smoke screens and flares, creation of trenches, explosion craters. Remnants of previous battles remain on the battlefield until the end of operation.
-Realistic soldier behavior: each soldier has several essential parameters, such as experience level, stamina and morale, which influence their behavior and effectiveness.
-Detailed weapon modeling and realistic ballistics: bullets and projectiles follow ballistic trajectories, taking wind, temperature and other parameters into account.
-Advanced armor penetration: modeling based on ballistic histograms without simplifications of probabilistic methods, generation of secondary fragmentation fields takes into account many parameters, such as the change of the field shape in space, fragments and armor characteristics, armor thickness and damage conditions.
-Complex vehicle damage system: engine, suspension, sights, weapons and targeting mechanisms can be damaged separately, affecting the combat capabilities.
-Destructible environment: almost everything can be blown up and destroyed, from landscape surface and buildings to vehicles and enemy defensive installations.
-Advanced control of the off-map artillery, featuring various fuse settings and shell types.
-Formation and movement modes: lines and columns, movement by road and covertly, infantry following behind tanks, setting a delay, fire sectors, etc.
-Automatic smoke screen laying: units set up smoke screens when enemy is spotted.
-Dynamic change of the time of day, light sources and weather effects, influence the course of battle, visibility and area passability."

As some already noticed, I mistimed a cut at the end of the video during the battle results. Don´t worry, you are not missing much, only me rambling a bit about my damaged tanks ;)

Another great battle, showing combined arms works best. Lovely to see the tanks and infantry pushing together through the woods. It is good to hear you explaining your thought processes as you decide what to do. Looking forward to the next episode!

Nice battle, i bought this DLC too first battle was also in this spot went very well with tank support my second battle with infantry only is much tougher against a ton of enemy infantry with some light tanks

The way you're doing this campaign is absolutely great, you have a firm grasp on your units and how to use them properly. It's making me want to get back into Mius Front. I have to ask though, what are combat engineers exactly? In my head I see them as specialist units that can repair light damage on things like tanks and field guns, deal with mines, place mines and dig defensive emplacements. So for all intents they should be kept off from the frontlines. Yet from watching you, you seem to be comfortable using them as assault teams, why's that?

They are armed to the teeth for short range fighting and have plenty of grenades and Satchel charges/AT mines. They are the troops you want to send to clear out fortified structures

To turn off HUD you can also press L. Ctrl+Delete buttons. I this case it will turn off all icons, so you don't need to turn off them by yourself

Well, I am quite late to the party, but I think that in this part of the battle you took quite a few unnecessary casualties from tank friendly fire

Again a great battle. I like this map. One Question: You often choose red orders. I thought red orders not working. Is there no different between white an red orders? For example you often choose the doubleline Order when it's red.

Yes, red modifiers are not supposed to work, but as with many things in Graviteam, you can never be sure :D

When a modifier is red, it’ll be ignored, that’s all. If all modifiers are valid, the order icon will be displayed as white, if some are invalid - blue.

Haven't heard of this game before...it reminds me so much of Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord but modern.

The Combat Mission series seems to have some similarities, though it's mostly more modern conflicts

I think combat mission also has a different approach to gameplay. A turn based wego system, instead of real time.

@@Tonci87 Yeah it is different. I play both on my channel actually. Graviteam is more about big picture stuff, Combat Mission is more about which hedge to put your MG team behind, if that makes sense. You can play it in RT though, although I wouldn't recommend it.

I got one more question though, not about this game, but about steel fury, where do you get your missions?( i assume sta mod gmp) and also interiors for tanks? It would help alot if you could reply, even more if you could provide a link to the website you get interiors from, thats all im asking, cya!

Everything from STA. Unfortunately no current version of STA can be found on the internet, due to the very weird policies enacted by the developers of that mod.

Are you able to "pause" the action, make all your commands for each of your units and then "un-pause" the game to allow your units to proceed with their orders?

Yes you can pause to plan out and issue orders

You only got so many points to spend. And they only regenerate when unpaused. The general gameplay is very slow and plodding to begin with so you really do not need to pause unless there's certain timings you want to ensure. The battle setup and initial orders planning are by and large what you should focus on and only modify orders after action starts. Makes things go a lot smoother and a lot less fighting over avaliable command points. (Takes practice to get it to work, but it does make the battle play out as if it was real life, squads and commanders going in with a plan)

@@Tonci87 I understand. I just have been waiting for the whole episode for the moment when you will be reviewing the destroyed BT-5 to see what actually killed him, so that cut was a little disappointing
