I took a leap of faith and delved into the world of storytelling, a craft I've honed over many years as an elementary special education teacher, albeit verbally. For the past couple of years, I've been writing and collecting stories, including one that I've long desired to turn into a screenwriting project but hesitated to pursue until now. Thanks to the latest technology, such as Procreate and now Procreate Dreams, I've been able to start working on images that complement my stories. "Close the Cabinets Mr. Gnome" and "The Magical Wardrobe" are both in their final stages as well.
Soon, I'll be sharing the book that started it all: "Luca and Julieta: Hello, Hello!" - a Social Story. For this one, I didn't create the illustrations but instead purchased licenses for multi-positional characters and paid backgrounds that I could manipulate to create my book.
However, after discovering Procreate and a couple of other platforms, I was able to transform my less-than-creative drawings into something I could finally use for my stories without breaking the bank. While they may not be the best, they serve the purpose quite well.
I hope you (and your children) enjoy this "read-along" version of the story. My aim is for your children to have fun following along with me as I narrate the tale of the mischievous siblings, accompanied by background music, sounds, and visual effects.
Please leave a like if you enjoyed the story. Thanks!
