You know on second thought, if you not already touring by doing this music it is VERY marketable! Think about all the successful groups that exist solely to cover the greats: Beatles, Elvis, etc. Here we are 50 years down the road and the Carpenters music still has a huge following. Really nothing like it. But you guys have damn sure nailed it! Go for it girl!

To my ear, it sounds like Tori didn't lean into Karen as much as she did on "We've Only Just Begun". I believe Tori really affected as much of Karen's style as possible on WOJB - so much so that you could even hear that "Karen sibilance" on her "s" sounds. She has really maintained her own vocal identity this time around, which I think is a positive. Can't wait for that first Tori Holub ALBUM... It HAS to be on VINYL! 😊

This is how a reaction to Tori should be done. You can tell it's not Karen singing, but it's darn close and is Tori's natural voice. And the instrumentals and backup vocals are stellar as well. As with all Tori's productions, this deserves attention. My only criticism of this video is that he called it a cover. There are lots of covers out there, but in this case only one reincarnation.

Fantastic! Amazingly similar, and if I did not know it was Tori singing I would automatically assume it was Karen. There's a difference, but they're both wonderful to listen to. The only element in the new production that stuck out for me was the bass guitar was not as evident as in the original. But I think that's just a matter of personal preference. Well done!

Tori is very good and has her own style when singing the song. No one can completely match the depth of Karen’s tone mixed with that almost imperceptible amount of raspiness she has. Tori sings it good but she does not match those qualities of Karen’s voice. No one I’ve ever heard has.

Tori is probably 98%. Karen has a little more Vibrato then she does.

Tori is a wonderful singer, but any true Carpenters fan can hear the difference. Karen has a very delicate vibrato compared to Tori, Karen has some vocal fries at the end of some lines which makes her sound more human. LIsten to the fry on the beginning of the we've only just begun on the 1st the word "live"......Karens pronunciation is a little different, her phrasing on lines is from another planet........Tori is terrific and has a great style.....but only one Karen.
