After the BNSF 7021 West crossed the Chatsworth Street Bridge ( • BNSF 7021 West over Ch... ), I was waiting for the westbound signals to turn off before heading home. Once the 7021 West cleared the block ahead of the one that I was in, the north track westbound signal switched from solid red (Stop) to solid yellow (Approach -- Proceed prepared to stop at next signal. Trains exceeding 30 MPH immediately reduce to that speed.). Meanwhile, the westbound signal on the south track was showing solid red over solid red (stop).
When I noticed that both signals were still on a few minutes after changing to solid yellow, I spent some time trying to think of a logical explanation as to what was going on. The solid red over solid red on the south track led me to deduce that: 1) another westbound train was stopped in the block ahead of the block that I was in, or 2) an eastbound train would approach on that track at some point.
But then, at about 1:26 pm, the north track westbound signal switched back from solid yellow (approach) to solid red (stop). At that moment, I anticipated that an eastbound train would be passing soon on the north track. Sure enough, sometime after 1:35 pm, the headlight of the eastbound showed up on the horizon, and the locomotives of BNSF 7447 East reached my location at about 1:45 pm!

3) BNSF GE ES44AC No. 6287 (built in November 2008)
Since the south track westbound signal switched from solid red over solid red (Stop) to solid yellow over solid red (Approach) sometime during or after the passage of the 7447 East, I rethought the situation and guessed the following sequence:
1) there was a westbound train parked in the block ahead of my location
2) the 7447 East crossed over from the south track to the north track at Park Junction after the 7021 West cleared the junction, and then
3) the other westbound departed after the 7447 East had cleared the junction.
