Hello Jayakrishnan, Diet is medicine for both human and farmed animals. The feeding part of close upCow is super clear. Thanks for sharing your experience with publishing via your KZbin channel. I was a bit confused for me when you mentioned 34 litres per day. Does this refer to the total milking combined in both morning and evening? How many times do you milk cows on your farm? I have heard that some farms milk cows three times a day. Is this a good practice, and what are your thoughts on it? Looking forward to your comments! :) - A dreamer aspiring to build a small-scale Jersey farm with better genetic traits

Thank you for your kind words of appreciation. We have divided our milking animals into three groups, based on their milk yield. All the early-high lactation animals are milked three times a day. This obviously avoids chances of mastitis. And such groups are fed three times a day. Most of the animals are third-generation and yield 26 litres plus in the first lactation. And we have a few in the second lactation that yield 34 litres plus. (The milk yield mentioned is ‘per day’) Regards,

Very informative..... Transition and close up stage feed.... And no calcium in the final days... The logic behind it was revealing.... Silage... Unless one produces it, keeping the bail leak proof is a major problem.... Grass availability... So basically concentrate and Kachi.... Basically getting the correct feed mix in smaller farms is the biggest challenge....

Thank You Very Much….. it is not just leak proof bail of silage that we should aim at, but silage with good dry matter. Yes of course, getting quality feed is a challenge, but not impossible. These are challenges that farmers can overcome collectively.

കടല പിണ്ണാക്ക്എക്സ് പരുത്തിക്കുരു, പരുത്തിക്കേക്ക്, സോയ, മസ്റ്റാർഡ്, തവിടുകൾ, ഇവയെല്ലാം വിവിധ അളവിലുള്ള പ്രോട്ടീൻ സ്രോതസ്സുകൾ ആണ്. ഏതാണ് നല്ലത് എന്ന് പറയാൻ പറ്റില്ല. ഒരുപക്ഷേ സോയ ആയിരിക്കും കൂടുതൽ നല്ലത്. പക്ഷേ പ്രോട്ടീന് വേണ്ടി ഒരു സ്രോതസ്സിനെ മാത്രം ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നത് നല്ല ഒരു കാലിത്തീറ്റ നിർമ്മാണ രീതിയല്ല.
