Its this simple shit that can get so annoying sometimes, it would just look weird no matter how much you mess with it. Love it, thanks!

You know there is an even faster way to do this. All you have to do is select both ends of the eyelids to the base of the eye using shift+s then selected to active. Thanks for this info too btw!

It would be interesting to see how you create the weightpaint for all the bones🙂

do you have tutorial to rig eyelid like this?
@petemoss31607 ай бұрын
wait, what did you even do?

he changed the origin point the bones rotate around, so that when they close, they close in a more natural-looking way
@petemoss31607 ай бұрын
@@mustanggox ah, thanks. I saw something about doing that elsewhere, using the center of the eyeball as pivot for eyelid joints.

Hi, I’m working with a friend to make a 3D model of an anime character, out of curiosity; would this apply or does anime style not need eyelids?
@temtor5 ай бұрын
Haha, even anime characters need eyelids. More than any other character I would argue even, eyelids are very important for good facial expressions

@@temtor yeah, I’m still learning blender myself but my gut thought the same. 😅 Any advice for a novice like myself?

i made some eyelashes and now at the end process of rigging everything. is there a way for me to deform the eyelash mesh with the closed eyelids i already did or do i have to do a separate animation for the eyelashes and add them onto the same bones?
@temtor2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Select the character mesh (has to already have weight paint n all), then shift select the eyelashes and go into weight paint mode. There select weights (top left) and transfer weight. Make sure that in the bottom left top it's set to "by name" and "nearest interpolated" (but that's mostly a bonus). This won't give you the best result 100% of the time but it's pretty darn close, just weight paint it a bit in that case.
@bifrostyeti2 жыл бұрын
@@temtor tried it and it didn't work unfortunately, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Am I supposed to choose a different data type? Also for the vertex maping there's two options for nearest interpolated, there's nearest edge interpolated and nearest face interpolated.
