CLOSED MAP call - Crowsong & Falconflight - Pure Imagination

When the burdens are heavy, and fog clouds your mind it's good to have a friend by your side to lift them -
Crowsong is suffering alone in her clan, having lost both Weepingwind & Omensky at this point in time. She never truly let's on what she's going through to her friend Falconflightbut he still tries his best to be there for her, reminding her of the small but nice things in life, taking her mind off things at least for a while.

I'm super excited to host another MAP, this time showcasing a bit more of their friendship as well as being a loveletter to the kind of environments and elements that inspire me so much! Getting the opportunity to work with people to make these visions and more animated content come to life means so much!
I also hope to work on a PMV alongside this on my own, showcasing one of the reasons as to why she doesn't leave the clan! Other reasons also includes not knowing how to hunt, the dangers lurking on the deep forests, Falconflight's clan being hostile to corvidclan as well as a broken sense of desperately wanting to belong in her own one as well as still holding on, albeit barely now, to the idea she might somehow find her place in it.
Some other story details in this project also includes showing her light sensitivity due to being albino, Falconflight teaching her how to hunt (as she was never taught/was a proper apprentice to anyone) as well as visualising more of the nature & areas between the territories, both of them have to cross long distances to meet up and traverse mountainous areas, but the nature offers a peaceful and beautiful time too.

I love the detail of Crowsong's pupils narrowing in the sun due to her sensitivity of light as an albino cat. Such a cute map call!

In general, most cats eyes are quite sensitive to light but it's a good detail either way

I love the moments where all the positive feelings are literally visible in Crowsong’s eyes: from joy to hope. It radiates such warmth. Sometimes I really want to see an AU somewhere with her, where she is happy. Perhaps she just fled to the tribe with her friend, where she was accepted and she was able to live on without unnecessary feelings of contempt and discrimination.

I personally would love to see a Crowsong AU where her white pelt is considered special, and as a result a lot of pressure is put on her as a young age. The storyline might be very different, but I think things would play out the same; her wanting a black coat so she fits in more for example. But any AU would be super cool!

Oh my god this was so cute 😭 Knowing what happened to her after her pelt changed just breaks my heart, but this was so sweet… I can’t wait to see everyone’s entries and the final product! Good luck with the upcoming PMV and I offer my appreciation for this new world of Warriors that I, personally, love a bit more than the series itself, seeing as it’s made out a bit better and unlike the writers, you don’t forget details in your warriors

I think this might be my favourite thing you've storyboarded, the sheer amount of feeling you manage to capture in certain frames with the character's expressions, and the way they are framed makes all that emotion just bleed through the screen

The cinematography of this whole video is absolutely gorgeous, Lou. You could absolutely pass this off as it's own video! I've been lurking around the channel for a long time waiting for another MAP to pop up, and oh boy it was so much more amazing than I could've imagined. It's astonishing how good these MAPs are without having like seven frames per word. You can just imagine the movements with only a single slide for a word but sometimes animators put too many or too little frames but Louixie gets it just right✨
