I am always wondering how many generations needed for our species to evolve from monkeys to humans (i mean into homo habilis that s basically where we first draw a line between the animal kingdom and humans). Could there be an exact point in time where the last generation were still considered "monkey" while their offspring were already prehistoric humans. Is this a valid question? Or is it totally arbitrary in which exact year we separate them, and cant really be answered in "high enough resolution"?

It's very strange animals doesn't use any symbols and tokens, birds often show off front of their mates, with their colorful feathers. So even very small brain feel excitement in presence of glorious aesthetics. Or moths, being attracted to bright artificial lights, those must be something divine for those small creatures. And it's no wonder animals doesn't carry weapons and tools around because they doesn't ware clothes, has nowhere to stash and hang various utilities.We should consider many evolutionary factors before first symbolic language and rituals has emerged among population of special kind of monkeys. Who knows how their forehead got swollen, maybe they were falling on their head during sleep or water was constantly dripping on their skulls, deforming bones and forcing brain tissue to grow where it didn't suppose to.

Birds and moths getting excited over aesthetics and tying this in with the idea of the divine. I like it. What we cannot explain but want to control or have deep mysterious feelings for, we often assume must be godlike in nature.

Man has decided to go down in nature and see himself as something less than what he really is. The small phrase that would solve all of his confusion and many problems is “created in God’s image,” but man decided to forget God for the time being. He will inevitably find his way back and science will lead him back, surprisingly.

I think these episodes about difference between humans and animals are among the weakest in the whole series. So much wild speculation with very little evidence. The human brain is still a black box for us but anyway, I think that the endeavor to reduce human consciousness to the biological workings of the brain will get nowhere.
@moayadsalih35635 жыл бұрын
@Zeke Bean No one can separate consciousness from the brain but that doesn't mean that consciousness is a product of the brain. This video presents some scientific evidences that the mind is separate from the brain, you can check it if you like kzbin.info/www/bejne/eKKro6N4hcmnias

I think that is the only viable option moving forward. As the subject doing the observing perhaps the mystery will have to wait to be solved by conscious super computers who are not us. Man is different from other creatures because we are the only beings that GOD created in HIS IMAGE, with a spirit, that is CAPABLE OF RELATING to GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT, able to have a loving, spiritual, intelligent, relationship with God our creator, now in this fallen world, and forever in His eternal kingdom, and to be ABLE TO ATTAIN SALVATION, THROUGH BELIEF in the sacrifice for us of JESUS CHRIST on the cross to wash away our sins! Dogs, cats and other beasts cannot do that. Man has never evolved, we act and think and speak intelligently, and relate to God the exact same way now as Adam and Eve did with Him in the garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were created human, and all of us since have been born human through procreation, there is and never has been any evolving involved! Read the Bible, and ask GOD for spiritual understanding of HIS WORD , HE WILL HEAR YOU AND HELP YOU! God loves you and wants you know the truth!

We are a VERY different kind of animal, a complex form of thinking energy which can handle/extract energy from matter (possibly imitating the sun in the future) to increase the probability concerning survival in the star system. Humans can, hypothetically, and with a little bit of luck (no gamma ray bursts from nearby supernovas etc), survive until the sun dies. Any other land living species has no chance of doing that. And there can not be a more distinct difference than being extinct or survive as a force (an energy with a direction is a force). So the main difference is our own increase of energy density as a "weapon" to survive (ice ages , asteroids, becoming polyglobal on the moon and Mars with atomic driven rockets etc). Our evolution process is not trying to follow the principles in the animal world, we are trying to imitate the sun, to survive. That is vastly different than the big teeth of a T.Rex, the speed of an antelope etc, still 100% dependent on the random happenings in nature/cosmos.

It is much more interesting to tell what we have in common with other animals, than this eternal LIE ! About we being better ! First of all we haven't stop fighting wars 1/2 days since beginning of History ! So we are NOT better than animals, and each time i look in the eyes of my cat, i love him.. he is so innocent, pure.. We have inherited a lot of animal behavior, that we should stop denying, because extremism will win if we continue to try to make mankind living in a world of ideology ! , for example a multi-ethnic world. Obviously, not a single animal was ever multi-ethnic. In the contrary, they hate other tribes, every animal is hostile to others, on average, so stop the "love lie"; face the reality, otherwise, "they" will win. Trump will be back. Not Obama.
