TRINNY, I live in the U.S. and only discovered you under lockdown. I have ordered some pots of makeup and can’t wait for it to get here. Your makeup makes me think of my grandmother. She was one fourth Cherokee Native American and very beautiful. She had curly black hair which she cut herself into layers of soft curls. Every day, she styled her hair and then finished off her look with a tube of lipstick from the 5 and 10 store, some loose powder and a powder puff. First, she applied the berry colored lipstick and then blotted h er lips on the folded powder puff. Next she used the color left on the powder puff as a rouge on her cheeks. Lastly, she applied a fine covering of the powder to her face. She could not have been more beautiful!

I am size 20 and I ordered a winter white pair of wool pants to go with a winter white cashmere shell and a winter white long sleeved mid calf length cashmere sweater. I have several long gold necklaces and earrings to wear with it. I also have a long winter white wool coat blend and winter white ankle boots. I've seen this look of monochromatic in fall fashion. I can't wait to wear it!!

I hate to give up this secret, but Amazon has a great silk/viscose 60/40 slip in nude, white and black. They are wonderfully breathable and comfortable all year-round. Thin, but enough coverage to wear under a semi-sheer dress or top/blouse, the nude is perfect for under white.

I love, and look best in, a true white, but it’s darn hard to find sometimes! Also, many self-styled “eco” brands (it’s debatable how eco-friendly most are), don’t offer true white, which requires bleaching. I do wear off-white when I have to, like when a print bottom requires it, but it really isn’t in my favored color palette (Summer, cool-muted).
