Horrible design. Mine go off track for the bathroom door, and the whole thing is closed in so I literally have to rip stuff apart just to stick the damn door back on. Total sh8t design.

SUCCESS!!!!! My wood flooring guy removed them and left them for me to reattach. (He had to because the floor needed to dry after being refinished and he wasn’t coming back just to reattach them). He said it’s easy but never told me about the 30 degree trick. I would have struggled forever with this and did for about 20 minutes. Then I found your video. They were back on in seconds. Thank you!

This is the most correct and best video ever posted on KZbin. I despise this door design. Never has a mor Ill conceived invention been brought forth out of the bowels of the infernal pit. Thank you so much for saving me hours and hours of work. Usually, I just remove these doors and hang up a curtain rod inside the closet that my kids can actually use, because curtains are much easier for a child to open than solid wood Precariously hanging deadly sticky doors that want to fall and crush you.

Thank you for showing me all the ways I have been doing it wrong! I look forward to attempting the fix again. My wife had a fall last week and knocked both of the doors in the master bedroom off the track. I'm confident that I will be successful now. The first thing I did when I bought my fixer house in San Diego was to remove all of those closet doors. One of them is serving as the top of my computer desk. The others are on top of rafters in the garage, with stuff stored on them. :-)
