I understand the reason behind the odd dresser placement, but I wonder if you could build a fake space divider thing that goes all the way to the ceiling to make the dresser feel like it is part of the closet. Also, different paint to divide the space? Maybe? Great job though!
@DiscoPrysm4 ай бұрын
I love this idea, I’m picturing one of those basic shelves with the cubbies. Don’t put the backing on and put shoes and purses in the cubbies! Alternatively I also think a fringe curtain hanging from the ceiling would be gorgeous. Maybe one with transparent or shiny sequin type beads to reflect/let light flow through

@@flyushkiflyI don’t think this is fair. So what if it’s not attainable for you? It’s her bedroom! Plus everything else she did is fairly achievable for most people- that’s the whole point of this channel & company! It’s dedicated to showing people how to achieve their creative vision by thrifting, reworking, and crafting what they want. I pretty highly doubt Becky spent that much and she’s hardly flaunting it if she is. This is her job and they have plenty of videos where she shows how again how to persevere and attain or make pieces you love through hard work.

I'd use 6foot tall walmart shelves back to back, one side for the bedroom to use & one interior to the "closet" use shelves for jeans and sweaters etc. The dresser can be used at the very END of the "Closet" facing opposite the hanging clothes, using the last wall for full length dresses as well. One long runner rug would tie the interior to exterior as ONE CLOSET.❤ yuo could even add a rod with a curtian or beads etc at the opening of the CLOSET❤ dont forget baskets up top shelves!❤

I like the room divider is a parapet so it keeps the open space. I personally like to close my closet doors and cupboards (like literally ALL of them!!! Out of sight, out of cluttering up my visual space and mind), BUT I also know that not everyone is like that! Some people love seeing all of their stuff, are much more visual people than me, (out of sight, out of mind type of people) so I can see how totally removing the closet door and the placement of the room divider extends the closet 'floor space' into the room to include the weird hole in the wall! Where as someone like me ...( if you're a visual person, don't listen to any naysayers about the room divider !!!! It's AWESOME!!!) someone like me would cram it into the old closet space, keep the door closed and still use your awesome hole in the wall idea too! (And I know this about myself bc I've been squeezing myself between the dresser and wall of a 'fake walk-in closet in a normal sized closet for a few decades! Lol But it's extremely organized and I can happily close the door so I don't see my clothes.) Obviously you seem to be a visual person and closing the door doesn't seem to be your primary goal, so YOU GO GIRL!!!! IT'S AWESOME JUST AS IT IS!!!!😊😊😊😊

Looks pretty cute. Would be nice to hide the back of the dresser due to how flat it is. Maybe try a pothos on top that drapes over the back. Or attach a small railing to hold scarves or something similar? It would add to the depth and use some of that dead space.
