Oooof . I hate to say it but sounds like the partner had enough of running the company alone. The Is a tough video as entrepreneurs got through alot worse and keep pushing. All that self doubt talk Is defeating. He said he and the partner disagreed with the equipment purchases as he was the budget oriented one. All those vehicles and the fire truck but not one reliable truck and machine?

Going through this exact thing right now. Selling off the maintenance division of my company to go full time into hydroseeding. It’s definitely something you need to ease into. There’s a ton to learn that’s special to hydroseeding and it makes it a totally different animal compared to landscaping or mowing.

@MGMG0075 ай бұрын
Getting a job and doing this part time will be great for his mental, and his relationship with his wife. Not to mention the profitability he will have when its just him. Then little by little as money goes into the family account, the business account and as his confidence starts to be built again he can grow the business little by little or he can keep it very profitable with him and another guy.
@Floorguy19855 ай бұрын
He isn't committed to it. You have to have a passion for your business like it's your baby to be successful at it. The first thing you think about when you get up is the business. All focus needs to be what can I do to really make this a success. He should just get a job.

Yeah with commercials you do net 30 and in your contract just state that after 30 days a $100 fee is added every 15 days. If your dealing with legitimate businesses.. Problem is you have "commercial clients" paying under the table to "non-legitimate companies" because they get such a good rate. In my area (I mean no offense by this, it's just facts) but Hispanics do this. If you are a legitimate business go after like corporate owned businesses. They have to do things more professionally than a mom/pop shop or solo business owner even.
@Floorguy19855 ай бұрын
Commercial you are lucky if you get net 30. I do all commercial some times I have been waiting 90 days. Last year I had to threaten going to court on 4 of them.. when they got that threat the all paid within a week. Funny how that works. Commercial the way they see it we contractors are all replace able.

Nothing wrong with being 2nd 3rd 4th in a company, being a ceo head hancho isn't for everyone it's very draining and sacrificial. Not every boss wants thier employee to work 90 hr weeks I've had plenty of great bosses who understood I could only work 40 hrs family time is very important. I've also been my own boss and it's years before you get to "make your schedule" you're usually on 24/7 always putting out fires. Having kids makes you want to work harder to provide but if he's like I was you also find working harder doesn't mean working more hours to where you work sleep and never have energy to spend with the family. Happy to sell my business, start a new career with set hours and paid time off. My wife and kids are also much happier to see dad around not just home when he needs to sleep.

This is either filler to increase watch time ( which doesn't work because I'm about to quit watching) or it's horrible editing... Enough with the redundancy, tighten these up.

Getting a Job will kill you and you will jump out of there like your butt is on fire. Ok. STOP DOING EVERYTHING. Take 4 days with the family. Come back, advertise your rear off everywhere you can. Take residential smaller jobs because you can get paid right then. Have a solid minimum charge. Run the machine you have 14 hours a day. Once you have that machine running 14 hours a day then work on the big truck. A regular job will stress you out a lot more.

I’m about to be the bad guy but I’m ok with it but this guy is a whiner. He needs to pull his damn pants up and make a living for himself. Things haven’t gone well, great welcome to life. A lot of time things go bad so you have to know how to adapt and overcome. Sometimes you do what you don’t want to do. But you have to do it to be successful. So either do it or go do something else but this guy is creating his own problems. First thing if I’m going with hydro seeding them all that other equipment has to get sold. That itself will give him a monetary push to get through tough times. Go get ahold of your life and the job and make the great living you want for your family. But this walk-in around kicking rocks and acting defeated does nothing but make it worse. It’s sad how much money this guy could make and it’s like he doesn’t want to.
