Oh, so that’s why all the Disney tests for Zootopia and Brave had the legs sticking out of the clothes, they weren’t nclothed, they were still skinned!

Fascinating process. Why skin instead of going directly to the cloth though?

Awesome rig. Is there more tips on skinning skin tight clothing. No matter how I paint weights, it penetrates the skin
@jessiewrubel63715 жыл бұрын
One way to compensate for clipping involves creating extra controllers on the clothing that animators can use to pull the clothing back out when it clips through the body. You won't get a perfect result from skinning alone, and most productions render out clothing on a separate layer, in case they need to comp over stuff like that.

How do you match the 1st frame of simulation after animating the character
@jessiewrubel63712 жыл бұрын
Typically you can add a buffer of frames before simulation. If the animators are starting on frame 1000, you can start your cloth sim on frame 900 or so. This gives 100 frames for the cloth to settle, before reacting to the character animation.

Hi! Awesome tutorial!! Thank you for sharing tips. But, I have a little question. Is the size '0.075' you refered at 00:13 important number? Or does it just mean "small figures"? When following your video, there was an error in the overlaid cloth especially armpit. I don't know what's wrong. Namid dosen't look wiggling so I just want to know what's different from your character. I'm still struggling with that error.. I would really appreciate it if you would leave me an answer!!

How do you skin? Im new to 3d
@JustinRuta3 жыл бұрын
set your workplace to the "rigging" workplace in the drop down menu in the top right (by default this is set to "modeling") and then you'll find a new tab at the top called "skin" where you can find "bind skin." then you can select your root joint and your mesh and skin them.
