Not really. Lamia come from Greek mythology and was one of the many monsters created by the Gods during a jealous tiff. In this case, one of Zeus's lovers getting zapped into a child eating snake monster by Hera. Or she transformed due to jealousy and grief causing her to steal and eat (for some reason) other peoples children after Hera stole hers. Either way, Heras fault, not Adam screwing the poor snake.
