You are so multi-talented, definitely a renaissance woman! The natural look of the brownish rope on the hydrangea bowl really appeals to me, so pretty!

Thank you for your video. It is very helpful. I have one question. Does you Walmart close line rope have poly in the middle?
@mimitodd87814 ай бұрын
No the rope I buy for bowls does not have poly in the middle. This is the Walmart brand I purchase… Hyper Tough Diamond Braided Cotton Clothesline 3/16 in x 100 feet Bar code number 6 957680 700956 Hope this helps! Have a great day!

I am a absolute newbie at this and every video I've found they sew them. Can yarn be used for the rope bowls and how to make them without a sewing machine?
@mimitodd8781Ай бұрын
Yes. You can crochet around the rope and make these bowls. Search crochet clothes line rope bowls for tutorials. I’ve not made any using that technique but it is on my list of stuff to make!

Just found your channel and love, Going to watch the rest. Wrapped enough fabric on rope for trivet and wanted to cry. No more wrapping after I finish the next one thank you.

Wrapped enough for two trivets plus had a bunch cut on bias left. We could of had a cryiing party. I stumbled on these videos and dyed some rope and getting ready to make a bowl.

My Walmart carries Coats and Clark thread. Also was the brown basket done with jute rope?
@mimitodd87816 ай бұрын
The brown basket was regular clothes line rope dyed with brown acrylic paint. It does appear as jute rope dyed this way. I get my thread from Walmart as well. I try to stock up on thread as it is as hard to get during the virus shutdown.

?? Did you fussy cut around all of the designs on the napkins before you decoupaged them onto the bowl?
@mimitodd87813 ай бұрын
No mam! Just cut out around it. The white part of the napkin blends in nicely with the white bowl!
@lauralynneh4 ай бұрын
What type of Coats and Clark thread is best? Cotton or poly? Or blend? Thanks

I use the polyester and blend when I can find it.

How long does it take to sew a bowl?
@mimitodd8781Ай бұрын
If I sit and just sew straight thru about an hour. But I do have to get up and move a bit so a couple of hours from start to finish. I have to give my neck a break.😊

I don’t have any problem with thread I use surger thread.
Please don’t play music when you are speaking. No real teacher does that. It is horribly distracting andinterferes with hearing what you say. The hearing impaired who use hearing aids have an even harder time understanding you. I cannot imagine why anyone would do that.

Thank you for sharing. My daddy is extremely hard of hearing and music affects what he hears. I appreciate the reminder.
