Thank you for the tutorial - my basket turned out perfectly by following your steps. Can you tell me how big the larger basket is in the picture (natural rope one) bottom size and sides? Thank you!
@TheKatshe14 күн бұрын
@ most of my baskets are about 7.5 inch base by 3 to 4 inch sides…I have made on 8 inch base with 4 inch sides but in this video I cannot remember …my best guess is 7 to 7.5 base and 3 to 4 inch sides

Kat.. you surely were a school teacher, or should have been, if you weren't. Such clear, concise directions. Here's my question: If the rope is 6mm, should the Chicago screws be 6mm as well?

Please Check the description for Amazon links to the products I used in the video…faux leather tags can be customized….I also cut my own leather tags and punch holes myself and those I actually sew on.

Great tutorial! I watched one of your videos with the straight edge technique and wish I had watched it sooner. I'm just getting started and wondering how you would get the straight sides with a smaller base.
@TheKatshe7 ай бұрын
Lori , A lot of lifting is involved in a base smaller or that is less than say 7 inches…and what I mean by lifting is putting your hand under the base. And lifting while sewing…I’m not sure how accurate that would be but basically you have to lift to try and angle closer to 90degrees on a your home sewing machine ..I think it’s a bit easier on an industrial machine where the needle is closer to the left if that makes sense. I will do a video on a smaller size this week to give you an idea what is involved 😁😁😁hth
