I was really influenced by the Y2K styles that were popular last year, I got a crochet bag like yours and a pink paisley skirt, I have never worn either of these items because they're just not my style. Those cute girls on Tik Tok really got the best of me there...I heard quite a few people talk about getting sucked into those trends and regretting it like Laini Ozark.

So badly can relate when it comes to color. I will especially around summer time or even now start to feel guilty for only buying neutrals and black. It always ends up a fail lol. I just really came to an understanding about myself that I really just like only neutrals and black for the most part. Just.... don’t really like color on me no matter how much I think the item is super cute or cute on others.

just made a video about what i regret buying too lol! i think the Y2K trends really hit us hard because after covid everyone really just wanted to dress super colorful and it was so unfortunate how like every single trend lasted like two weeks and everyone who wasn’t an influencer was trying to keep up. i also find myself settling for certain items that kind of look like what i want, instead of just waiting to find the perfect piece :/

I usually regret buying things that are popular at that time (zebra pants), sweater vests (I love them on others, but it’s not my style at all, colourful clothes/ clothes with prints (I’m a neutral gal), things that are not practical/ not comfy enough (uncomfortable shoes, small bags, tight/short dresses, crop tops)

totally agree with you abt being influenced to buy things. i work in retail and so often buy clothes that i dont end up wearing bc i see it all the time. alsoooooo i'd totally buy that hercules tee off of u if u ever decide to sell it :)

i love this video! I jumped on the green trend too but i made sure i stuck with more deep/forest green rather than lime because i knew that shade was not for me. I would love to see a spring decluttering vlog, from start to finish of how long you let items sit on poshmark or when you decide to just bring to value village

omg those lug sole Zara boots - they are SO UNCOMFY! like just blisters for days! i love them so much and they look so cute with certain fits so I refuse to get rid of them but I can only walk like 50 steps in them lol 😭the back of the boots where your heel sits is SO STIFF 😩

something i’ve realized is that just because it’s trendy doesn’t mean it’s flattering on me. i.e. really wide leg jeans just don’t look good on me, same with certain bright colours they just look wrong with my complexion and stuff. i’ve realized i can love a piece of clothing but if it doesn’t flatter me and make me feel confident, i won’t wear it ever
