Cloud Gaming Has Failed.

Google recently announced they are ending their game streaming service Stadia. This is sad, because even though Stadia did not have the best execution, it was a good concept. These are dark days for game streaming. Let's see if it can survive, or if consoles and pc will always be the dominant platforms.

Honestly idk how companies dont understand that the average consumer does not have internet fast enough to support cloud gaming, or if they do they dont even know how to set it up.

Playing a Plague Tale: Requiem via cloud gaming on Xbox one. Great game. But for some reason they make it unavailable to purchase and download on Xbox one and you can only play with cloud gaming (and it sucks), and that purely doesn't make sense. If I can play a game with cloud gaming on the Xbox one, then why not just release it on the Xbox one as well.

It's been really bad in my experience as well. I usually have a 2 second delay after pressing buttons before they actually input

You make an important point. I think it's great that we have that extra option. The talk of us moving to an all streaming future is what I disagree with most. Having that physical hardware in the room with you gives you that sense of ownership, and high speed internet isn't accessible for a lot of people. Thanks for watching!

Cloud gaming is actually pretty useful to me. I stream from my pc to my phone when I’m out, I can comfortably play games like portal, Spider-Man, etc. can’t play Overwatch tho. I think that as internet gets better with thinks like 6g, and latency is a non issue, it’ll become pretty standard. For now, local gaming is where it is at.

Nice! I don't hear much about people utilizing these services, so it's good to hear that. Maybe one day there will be widespread highspeed internet access at a low cost, but we're certainly FAR away from that. Thanks for watching!

@@realtayo42 Right now, this is mainly benefiting budget gamers. I have 2 friends that use it. One plays GeForce now on games like Fortnite and apex on his Chromebook. He said it’s better than playing on his Xbox one s. The other plays it on his computer. It’s kinda weird, but he build a budget computer for around 300-500 and most games he uses his GeForce now subscription. He has a 1050 ti btw.
