For the Materia, if you follow how I did the core, use one of the sizes in this pack of Ornaments, or try looking for ones that fit correctly. I can't seem to find any for just one size anymore:

For the cross guard details, I used DIY metal buttons, but they were a pain to paint. Do something else. Maybe use foam balls and cut them down? I don't know.

Thanks. At this time I don't plan on a video for the bracer. The video before this one, where I fix up the crappy harness i bought, I sorta talk about it in that video, but mine looks pretty bad. I've been trying. Made a few but all of them were even worse than the one I already had. I'm more than likely just going to 3d print one. If you follow ModeratelyOKCos on twitter, he's trying to put together a 3d model for it that he will sell the piece itself, or just the file to print yourself. I'll most likely be buying his file when it's up.

Oh thank you very much! I would but that'd be a lot of money on my end that I don't have. Making multiple of these would be well into the hundreds or even thousands just to hope they sell. And if they don't, or take years, id be losing a LOT of money. Not to mention I don't have that kind of money at any given time. That's why I take commissions. Its case by case and the build doesn't start until the person pays for materials at least.

how do you scale the template to be larger on paper>

It should already be large enough. I don't know the exact printing setting you will need. I followed the tutorial by Kamuicosplay where her husband showed how to make to scale blueprints. He gives instructions on how to make it print to scale. When the settings are right it should print on multiple pieces of paper. All I know at this time is how to make the blueprints themselves, I don't print them as I make them using the paper patterns I drew by hand and tracing them on a canvas on inkscape that's set to be the size needed for all the pieces. For instance, the blade is (if I rememebr right) 47.5inches tall, so I made the canvas like more than double that to add the details under that drawing. I'm sorry. I can try to figure it out tomorrow and reply if I can get you a better answer.

Hey there, so sorry it's taken this long, but I've been on and off trying to figure out how to get my templates printed to size. I finally figured it out and can tell you if you haven't figured it out yet. You'll need a reader program like Adobe Reader. So what you do is download the PDF file from my site (when you open it from my site, there's an icon on the top right that's an arrow pointing down at a line. that's the download button). Then in your file explorer open the file with adobe reader, and go File>Print. When the print window pops up, there will be options. Just click the one that says "poster" and that will put it to scale on multiple pieces of paper. Then just hit print.
