Thank you for this video. I have struggled with my mental health since I was young. Despite dealing with it for so long, I still find it so incredibly difficult to talk about. I've cared for an ill parent for most of my life, I know being a caretaker can truly be harrowing at times. I have recently started a project to make a sort of indoor jungle for myself so I can be surrounded with life. I can't really put my finger on why exactly taking care of these plants makes me feel better, I only know that even merely looking them and just appreciating them helps me. It helps me be able to funnel my anxiety into something tangible. Rather than worry about something possibly happening or not happening in the future, I can worry about whether I have the correct soil mixture or light levels for my plants. I'm able to use my nervous energy to help something flourish. And like you said, it really does help me get up in the morning. You seem really considerate, kind, thoughtful, and well spoken. All the best to you and everything you do, know that this stranger fully supports your ambitions. Take care xx

The bigger the CG platform grows, the more messages/comments I receive and have realized so many people need help. It's not much but I feel obligated to push on, reach as many people as I can and help them find their way out ❤

I have both Major Depressive Disorder, generalized anxiety, and ADHD. Accidentally, during recent bad episode, I became obsessed with gardening. At the time I didn't realize it was helping my mental state, but it definitely does.

Thank you as always for opening up and being vulnerable with us. I, too, struggle with mental health and have been surprised to see how helpful gardening can be for it. I used to think I had a black thumb and that I could never be a gardener - another way of feeling like I didn't belong. But I'm learning a lot and realizing that that old concept isn't true. I have come to appreciate nurturing my plants and witnessing their growth over time. It's hard to describe how meaningful that can be. So I am happy to hear of your horticultural therapy plans - very exciting!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! 🤗🥰 I am so glad that you persevered with gardening to find the joy in it. It's not easy opening up at all but knowing that there are so many that feel the same. Makes it so much easier. Thank you for you support! ❤

Thank you for this video! Gardening is definitely therapeutic. I also have depression and both outside gardening and maintaining indoor houseplants is extremely satisfying. I have also adopted other hobbies as well. Being engaged in hobbies takes your attention off the negativity of your life and focuses on a particular topic - usually something that you enjoy and makes you happy. You can’t be depressed or anxious if you’re involved in a happy activity. One step at a time. For me its been outside/inside gardening, crochet, fountain pens, watching Chinese dramas, taking walks listening to music. But there is just something special about gardening (indoor or out). Thank you again. You are truly an inspiration to so many! You are turning your pain/weakness into strength and happiness not just for yourself but for all of us! God bless you! 🪴🎍🌱.

Welcome to the family! 🤗🥰❤ I'm sorry this was your first introduction to me 😥 I guess in a way it helps because you know straight away why the garden is so important to me. I'm sure that you must feel the same way about your space. It's what connects us as a little community. Thank you for clicking and staying! ❤ Are you growing much over Winter?

@@CloudGardenerUK I only grow flowering plants. Due to the pandemic last year I didn't do anything outside and only focused indoor plants.
