It’s not a series. Neither 10 Cloverfield Lane nor Cloverfield Paradox started out as related to Cloverfield. They had their “Cloverfield links” added in at a much later stage. In the case of Cloverfield Paradox, that change was made during production with overdubs and a couple of added scenes.

The seabed nectar that is harvested for Slusho is actually secreted from the Cloverfield monster and it has the property of making people extremely happy. it didn't need to be an alternate earth. They did something in the future (2028) which sent a monster to the present/past (2008). But then if the past gets destroyed by monsters the future would never happen. Which is what a time paradox is.

I havent watched the movie yet, but maybe just maybe the 2008, 2016 movie are in the same universe and when they turned the particle accelerator on when transported to another universe and when they got it back right it open the ripple effect where the past was changed starting in 2008, caused the creatures from another universe to invade earth 2008 then fast forward to 2028 the earth is all screwed up from the past and since Overlord takes place during WW2 it really started then but the creatures remained dormant until 2008 🤔 one thing about these movies it gives room to many many theories

infinite multiverses , all at the same time , different outcomes to the smallest of decisions and times. if one clashes with another or is directly linked to another due to time , both will fight to occupy one space in the span of the multiverse where then a multitude of anomalies[weird shit] will happen to there is a balance and the 2 become one. which was explained in the movie. i could give examples but this isnt a forum its youtube comments. just know 2 of the same thing cant occupy one world and they should never come into contact with each other and if u happen to b on the same timeline but in the past or future do not do anything that will have an impact on the timeline, dont even touch a pencil or bring it back with u to the present. Actually, it wouldn't retcon anything. Such as the way things have been set up. Being as... With the last one, tearing holes in not only the present, but also the past, they can literally churn out another twenty without having to retcon anything, at any point, whether it's D-day, The first Christmas, Avalon with King Arthur, or the battle of Thermopylae (Spelling?). So each movie, we as the viewer kind of see things unfold, as it would for those who are experiencing that specific rift, as it's happening.

So... this means there'll never be a continuation of any of these movies, as Cloverfield Paradox explained that the experiment affected multiple realities: Make a baby Clover appear in ancient times and sleep so he woke up in 2008 in the first movie, make aliens aware of Earth so they travel there in 2016 in the second one, make several Clovers appear in the 3rd one, and Nazi Zombies that will appear in WW2 during the 4th one (if they dont change the summary). This also means that ANY of Abrams' movies could be conected, not only Cloverfield movies.

Credit Dauphine, a fictional bank from Alias, appeared in Eli Stone. In "Donut Run", an episode of Veronica Mars, Veronica's fortune cookie message has the numbers that won Hurley the lottery (and turned up in several other strange places) in Lost. I enjoyed the fist two movies. They were fun and entertaining. (The first movie could have been done without the "found footage" aspect, in my opinion, though. It still would have worked.) The third movie was poorly made. It was choppy and gave away the entire plot in the first few minutes. The scenes were poorly tied together. The acting was bad. The directing was bad. Those elements make for bad movies. As far as the two first movies being tied together: why? They made for a great anthology series and didn't need to be tied together.

There was no mystery in the third movie. They revealed the entire plot in the first few minutes with an audio of some commenter warning about "the Cloverfield Paradox" and "monsters" due to the experiments they were doing with the particle accelerator on the space station. That is HORRIBLE writing, even though it was added to the movie in post-production.

Holes in timespace caused by the events of The Cloverfield Paradox triggered events across space-time, 2 of which include those seen in the previous two films. I'm not sure if this is right but, I think Slusho has the cloverfield monsters blood in it, and the parasites were made to hunt the cloverfield creature and being a parasote, drink it's blood. So, people drinking Slusho would have the monster's blood in them, thus causing the parasites to attack them

Before learning more about the movie, I must say thought the story would be something very different, and much more thought provoking and meaningful. I imagined the story about a creature about the size of a car or something similar, easily imaginable by humans, searching for its mother. Not deemed a big enough threat and so not enough effort is put into containing it, not that it even can be but at this point in the movie we don’t know this yet. As the story progresses, the creature grows larger, progressing to walking through cities in just a few steps, then it’s head reaching above the clouds, then stepping across countries, across oceans. Then with subtle camera work and avoiding revealing the reality of the situation, the creature continues to grow to the point where it appears to simply grow too big to exist at all. It grows so big that it seems to simply step off our planet, ascend beyond our plane of existence and legitimately leave our entire frame of reference and ascends beyond what we can visualise, where it’s kind is supposed to be. And just like that, it is gone. The idea of this gives such an existential sense of how small and insignificant we really are, compared to the grand scheme of the cosmos. I think it fits the theme of a Paradox a lot more, as it truly gives me the sense that we are just 1 clover in an endless field, with creatures beyond our wildest imagination walking among the field, completely uncaring/unaware of us like we are of them. Not exactly paradoxical, but still thought provoking and powerful at least for me. Perhaps it would be better adapted in book form however, since the problem with movies is that they give too much away simply by the very nature that you can see exactly what is happening.

In their movies, its like a multiverse. All the dimensions crashed into each other and each dimension are trying to fit into one. So what I’m thinking is howard appeared in both because is existence is trying to exist in two dimensions amongst the collided dimensions. So the first cloverfields appeared because of the paradox cloverfield, in the paradox they activate a machine for limitless energy that tour open space and time causing them to travel to another dimension and causing the cloverfield monster to appear in the 2008 cloverfield. Then at the end of paradox the adult cloverfield monster appears because the younger version of that monster kept growing in the 2008 universe and that machine brought it to the paradox’s universe when it was full grown. So for the 10 cloverfield lanes universe time and space tare caused the alien signal howard recieved in the present because it can cause monsters to affect past present and future. Its okay if you dont get that last part.

I got a really fascinating thought that I have yet to rule out. What if the monster from the original Cloverfield is the same monster in The Cloverfield Paradox? The monster would’ve simply jumped dimensions the same way the astronauts did so while still being fully grown (because the monster at least lived from 2008-2028) the monster would simply be taken from the world of the original Cloverfield to the 2028 earth that we see in The Cloverfield Paradox; all because of the particle accelerator. Can't think of a name if you compare it to Godzillas strength, you would see it makes up for his smaller size. Godzilla has extremely strong skin along with incredible strength and endurance, far superior to a clover

They aren't really hashed together but they weren't originally written as Cloverfield. The scripts were changed by Bad Robot before they started shooting for them to become a part of the franchise.

That's the thing about the cloverfield universe. Nothing is given and everything is assumed. Until they make a cookie cutter ending with everything explained (which they won't because profit) everything is assumed or a theory or connected and also not connected all at once. It's pointless to argue about it because anyone could be right and we could ultimately all be wrong.
