I’ve been listening to this song several times a day almost every day since mid July. I’ve also been learning about the black panthers during that time. I’m ready Revolutionary Suicide right now, but the context didn’t make sense for me until now and it’s shifted this whole video into perspective. Of course this is just my personal interpretation of it: I don’t think it’s necessary to point out that the song is about the Black Panther Party because that’s pretty obvious. I do think it’s worth mentioning that I think the context for the first scene makes sense being inspired by Huey Newton’s visit to Kaiser Hopsital after being accused of being in a police shootout that resulted in the death of officer John Frey. When Huey was stopped by police and being arrested, he was shot in the stomach by one of the officers. He was taken to Kaiser Hospital and was immediately chained to the examining table and beaten on by the police. According to Huey in his book, police also was continually harassed by police during his recovery but that’s all explained in Revolutionary Suicide. Taking that event into account and it all sort of clicks into perspective.

I am blessed I got to know and listen to Clipping music. I'm only disappointed that the broader hip-hop community doesn't know Daveed Diggs' a dope rapper as good as Kendrick Lamar!

The style of this is crazy, it’s so different but it’s also very clever. With everything going on we need something like this, literally such a good message.

I was speechless at first, because I felt every word you said. You brought my emotions to life. I was saying the hook with you by the middle. As to everything that was said. All I can say is Thank You

@@GamingOS Listened to the album due to pre-ordering the CD, I can tell you, The album beats out peggy's new album. Whilst AMHAC is an incredible album, this album be an absolute AOTY. Be prepared.

@@GamingOS While "Jesus Forgive Me..." is still my SOTY, I'd say this outshines the majority of Peggy's new material. Much as I respect him as an artist, I don't find myself coming back to AMHAC as frequently as I did to Veteran.
@GamingOS5 жыл бұрын
@@przemysawornicz6608 I guess its just a difference in opinion then. I've listened to AMHAC almost every day since it came out and it still is getting better every listen. I find it much more interesting than Veteran tbh.
