I genuinely have no clue how, IMO, the best current contemporary rap artist in the rap landscape only has 35k subscribers on KZbin. I'm thrilled to be a part of clipping.'s journey, but wish they had the kind of recognition they deserve. You'd think after Daveed's portrayal of Lafayette in Hamilton would have given clipping. the boost they "need," but no luck for whatever reason.

I think the "get your ass down to the floor" hook on Enlacing is a double entendre. Yes, get your ass down to the dancefloor because, "this song slaps," but also - the whole song has a theme of being miniscule and worthless in the grand scheme of things, so "get down to the floor", because you are as low as the floor. Kind of like, "humble yourself," watch from the floor as the world passes over you.

I love how clipping disguises their dark subject matter as stereotypical rap songs. - "Enlacing" is about having an existential meltdown on drugs at a party, yet the refrain is "Get yo ass down to the flooooor!" - "Pain Everyday" is about a ghost that relentlessly haunts people, and Daveed repeatedly inserts the phrase "fuck it up" while describing what ghosts do to the living - "She Bad" is about a spirit woman who kills teens in the forest, and yet the hook is "she bad tho" - "'96 Neve Campbell" is about a serial killer woman who's described like a stereotypical "bad bitch" and the refrain is "this bitch boss" - "Body for the pile" is about three police officers dying, but the hook is about celebrating if you're still alive: "bust one shot if your blood's still pumpin, bust two shots if you really bout somethin"

96 Neve Campbell is not about a serial killer. It's a celebration of the badasses that women are in horror movies and is used to empower women. It uses Neve Campbell as the title due to her character from the 1996 movie Scream, but the band has said they could have used the name of any lead female character of horror movies such as Nightmare on Elm Street, the original Friday the 13th, etc.

Clippings music is so underrated omg. This is actually one of their best songs really in my opinion. Like this is amazing. It’s so creative and artistic. If this was a TikTok famous song and a more of the younger generations got to his music they would love it.

Already on my 2nd listen-through of the album 🔥 Wish there was another one of those "THAT'S INSANE!" moments, like with "Run For Your Life" with the moving beat through the mix, but I still love it just as much as TWAATB. This has to be one of the most insane double albums to ever come out, and barely anyone will know about it 😩😩

ENLACING [Intro] Get your ass down to the floor [Verse 1] You're so gone Ten toes down but nothing to stand on Get a handle on yourself, hands are clammy, hands are cold Gotta hand it to the host, the music choice is perfect And the lights are like the last light you liked on the horizon And the life you like was laughable, it's done and you're expiring (Hahaha) Why you say that? Wide awake and why did they laugh? While the way the blinds can play that, tattoo stripes across the face that- Wait, how you looking at your face when your face is on your face? This is somеthing you should face, you should- Fuck, this song slap, though All their faces facing wrong looking at what got you lost Can't thеy see they seeing backwards? Ugh, somebody turn this shit up Everything's frozen, the world is fast and now look at them go All of the cataracts floating outside of your vision are inching in, what do they know? They are just dust, they are just birds, they are just dragons, they are just nerves Up to the end, are they getting closer? Are they spilling words? Is their shattered mirror picture clearer than yours? [Chorus] And it feel like Get your ass down to the floor You'll never know, you'll never know, you ain't so special when everything glows And it's so gone over you, it's so gone over you You so gone, it's all gone and it's long overdue You got nothing to prove, you are nothing, you know All that you have to do is try to get your ass down to the floor [Verse 2] Pick up the pieces Pick up the cues like a human See what you needed? Fuck are you doing? Riding 'round euphoria with hammers out the window Whistle Crip and crack a rainbow, make it rain dance for your people Put a pound of joy up in a pill then crush it down to powder Let it sit under your tongue and check back in about a hour It's that lover love and lost, it's that lost that lovin' feelin' It's that base jump from the window while you dancing on the ceiling It's that (Whoop), geeked up, it's that sky, it's deeper Than that pool you swim in, you inside the speaker It's your song, sling that tightrope, walk the skin inside your teeth Call that floss and bleeding diamonds, fine if you could only reach Ones up in the sky is smiling, they so fine and they so far And you so small and so you find that you've been wishing on a star Do you feel that? [Chorus] And it feel like Get your ass down to the floor You'll never know, you'll never know, you ain't so special when everything glows And it's so gone over you, it's so gone over you You so gone, it's all gone and it's long overdue You got nothing to prove, you are nothing, you know All that you have to do is try to get your ass down to the floor [Verse 3] Things you seen since last you saw yourself would turn a man to dust The things you dreamed in lieu of all the hells were just imagination 'cause You couldn't bear to see the limit of yourself for what it was The good you wear on sleeves just isn't much Your body is a drug you love, you crush Make the most of magic, map the math of it Master mouthpiece and extract the past from it Plummet, plumb it, plum pit, fruit Summit, some shit, sunk ship, loot Loop, feedback, look, see that Bloody sack, you used to be that The mind is a façade The blind idiot god Will guide to your demise So fine, let it be gone [Chorus] Get your ass down to the floor You'll never know, you'll never know, you ain't so special when everything glows And it's so gone over you, it's so gone over you You so gone, it's all gone and it's long overdue You got nothing to prove, you are nothing, you know All that you have to do is try to get your ass down to the floor PAIN EVERYDAY [Verse 1] Death wasn't really the worst part Time spent floating above is Body done, that's when the hurt start They call it passing, that's not it, they lying Fuck them altars and headstones Who they think all them flowers for? Can't smell nothing, you just bones They cry a little less every hour, so that must be real nice Cross in the earth marks End when everything began Death scars looking like birthmarks Take for granted they free standing [Chorus] Y'all should grab one right by the dream space Makе one scream until she pray Makе one run until he dead Make one break until they leave The body hurts, see the body gone So who body make up for all the wrongs done to bodies? They keep singin' they songs while your body rot Well, fuck it, come on, they gotta pay [Verse 2] Chase the dreamer, chase the dreamer, fuck it up Shake the dreamer, shake the dreamer, wake it up and that will Make the dreamer hate the dreamer, cut it up Break the dream, awake the demon, run it up then you can Get into the head where they tried to make sense of senses, start their sixth Let 'em know the dead levitating just ahead and they best not slip True, because you bled out doesn't mean you ever left and that's that shit Everyone is scared and they telling all their secrets, don't that sound like Snitch behavior, snitch behavior? Zip it up Kiss the fear and simply savor, lick it up That tastes like wishes made by twisted prayers, rip it up Split the vision, mince the savior, get the guts [Chorus] Then you will grab one right by the dream space Make one scream until she pray Make one run until he dead Make one break until they leave The body hurts, see the body gone So who body make up for all the wrongs done to bodies? They keep singin' they songs while your body rot Well, fuck it, come on, they gotta pay [Verse 3] All the living sweat in the afterlife But ain't nothing after life but the pain from the way you died And something reminiscent of hunger But if you had a stomach only satiated by making somebody run See that to the edge of the screen in the video? Hear that hissing away in the back of the track? Be that, you could live in the glitch, the digital They fear that, they should fear that, they gon' fear that You are here forever, here forever, fuck it up Miss the moment, end is never gonna come You stuck so make the most, you make the omens, get the gun Watch the mortals blow they brains out, that was fun [Chorus] That's why you grab one right by the dream space Make one scream until she pray Make one run until he dead Make one break until they leave The body hurts, see the body gone So who body make up for all the wrongs done to bodies? They keep singin' they songs while your body rot Well, fuck it, come on, they gotta pay
