Thank you so much, I have the same issue in my car and because of tension being bad it's not turning on the lights. Wouldn't just bending the metal piece a little bit would have solved it?
@bigboycars Жыл бұрын
To be honest, I don't think just bending will solve the issue. The engineers calculated everything. The main problem is a crack in the plastic because it's old.

Awesome video. I think it applies directly to my w211. Question: which side has that blue contact microswitch stuck to the visor as I noticed one side was plain and other had the blue microswitch?

I don’t remember already. They both has the same parts.

@@bigboycars Just removed mine and they are missing that metal retainer sadly. Do you think I can make a workaround somehow?
@bigboycars Жыл бұрын
@@shaazy not sure. That metal retained made of strong metal. Try.
@shaazy Жыл бұрын
@@bigboycars Yes I tried but couldn't find a workaround. Those retainers last forever, I keep discovering new ones as I take my other w124 apart. For the w211, lack of retainer clip means the mirror cover won't stay up, which I guess I can live with.

@@shaazyMaybe you can find the part on eBay or a junkyard.
