Bill Maher, Jewish by blood.. sadist by choice. Both of their voices are so whiny… I couldn’t finish listening. But Jerry is a breeze of fresh air comedically. I hope behind closed doors Jerry talked to him about how Bill has become a cog of the Hasbara machine. Albeit, unknowingly. We think he was hypnotized by Noa Tishby. She’s incredibly good at what she does. I watched her before October 7th on Bill’s show and I was transfixed. She’s beautiful and soooo persuasive that listeners don’t realize how she, without fail, avoids with vigor, VITAL information in discussion. So I was reminded to look up the meaning of the word Hasbara that I first learned of in 2005. The Hasbara playbook is a step by step process for how to commandeer control of a story around anything Israel. It’s a step by step. And you can watch the talking heads of Hasbara rattle off each step and if step one doesn’t work, they go to the next step. It’s a playbook for how to brainwash on a mass scale and have brainwashees become brainwashers. It’s been really really really really really successful- especially at the turn of the 21st century and the 2005 conflict. But now the Information Age has become more advanced.. Hasbara’s dominion is starting to crack. Cogs of Hasbara are usually easy to spot once you’ve read the playbook. But in Bill Maher’s case.. it’s quite interesting because he parades himself around media figures as a self described “old school” liberal. Um.. he’s as old school liberal as Megan McCain. He’s not a liberal. The Buffalo Springfield song lyric comes to mind “there’s a man with a gun over there, telling me, I’ve got to beware” when I think of old school liberals; I think of politically inclined Hippies. But now the man with the gun is an Israeli on an Israeli owned GUNSHIP. And no one is stopping to stop the sound and take a look what’s going ‘round. But if they were to do so, they would see what’s going ‘round is NOT Bill Maher being “a liberal” or a hippie at all… 😂. He’s being a right wing conservative and mindless agent of hasbara. Plain and simple. And he needs help from balanced and reasonable non-warmongering Jews like Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David.

I wanna find myself somewhere in between these two mindsets. As I could relate to both perspectives. One, how time passes, and desperately trying to learn from the past, and the other not wasting any time thinking about what you can’t change.

Do they give out Emmys for podcasts? Because this episode is award-worthy. And I mean that sincerely, Jerry! Just two legendary comedians talking and reminiscing about comedy and life and their careers with no agenda or ulterior motive. I think the reason this episode is so great is because we are getting a real look at Jerry Seinfeld as a person for almost an hour and a half. It's more in-depth than him driving around in a car or sitting in a diner for a few minutes with another comedian...comedians he may or may not even have any kind of friendship/relationship with. He and Bill are lifelong friends, and it shows in how Jerry seems more willing to open up and discuss things more deeply.

To Jerry Seinfeld: I absolutely loved the new movie Unfrosted!! My husband and I are in our 40s and while we did not live through the 60s, the era of the movie, the comedy, the content was absolutely refreshing and hilarious! We called our kids in who are 16, 14 and 9, I can’t tell you enough how nice it was to laugh and watch a movie all together with no strange political motives in the story! I am very grateful for this❤

Jerry meditates, works out, eats well, doesn't overindulge in alcohol etc. You can see the difference. He also has a family and wife he is happy with. No money issues. Sure he gets depressed but that is more just life he says, but he's overall happy. I think you can see it.

When speaking of his book he says, "I put a lot of work in this" and Jerry gives him a great come back line, "I'm sure you did" with a shit eating grin and Bill mumbles to him "shut up". Of course, they both knew that there were ghost writers and editors involved.
@benwu79808 ай бұрын
That he has writers for New Rules is hardly a secret, nor is it a secret that he spends most of the week fine-tuning that editorial. That he put the book together while writers were on strike probably means he did most of the rework for book format, and every author should have an editor.

This is a really interesting psychology study. Bill just wants to reminisce about the past and Jerry is all about the now and the future. Bill even says when talking about how good memories make him sad because they will never happen again, " you are more at peace with this than I am ". I kind of feel for Bill, he seems a little sad about getting older and even talks about not doing standup any more. Jerry while being very nice to Bill has no time for sentimental stuff.
