So smart to make a really high quality video like this for Rekordbox. So much value given here it was a no brainer to me to sign up for your course. I've been a DJ since 2012 (2x redbull comp winner, massive gigs etc) and stepped away to focus on music production, rounding out my life and business. Now I'm coming back to it proper after 4 years away and figure hey why not get a refresher. Plus I always used Traktor and would just covert that to rekordbox cues when needed. Love your presentation style. Having Dj'd for many many years, from vinyl, to CD's, to sticks, I've only just started using RB after a hiatus from club work. I imported three folders to start with, House, Soul and Funk, from one of my 64 gig SanDisk sticks. Unfortunately, when I got to the venue yesterday, the stick was corrupted and loads of songs where missing. Luckily I had a back up, which hadn't been through RB. I've obviously done something wrong, I just can't understand what. Can you please help?

Are the auto cues set 16 bars earlier for transition and beat match or do you need to change them?

I Dj with out cue butten and cue points. I start each track from where i want depending on the mode im in. Most Djs go in on the fist bar on the drop even if they are on cue or not. So to me the tapping and using cue looks more fancy than what it does good. Thoughts?

For me personally, i rely on Hot Cues. Since i cannot do looping on a go, i just press specific cue point at the right timing to do "manual loop".

how can I change the sampler default folder path in my MacBook? the rekordbox folder is automatically set to my music folder and ive managed to move the recordings folder to another directory but the samples is still stuck there and each time I move it it comes back when I start rekordbox. how can I fix this? thanks :)

57% less load on my CPU it said. I experience nothing but buffering with 7.1 and 7.2. I went back to the last version of 6, but i run a DDJ1000. Make ur own stems. I can run three isolation algorithms at once and its almost studio quality, just more time and work intensive.

I thought I had missed a two releases when reading this, 7.1 and 7.2 are not out yet. The latest I believe is 7.0.1. I agree live stems needs more work, I’m sure this update is setting the foundation for improving stems.

I used a 7 year old laptop (with DDJ 1000 and DDJ 400) and rarely had issues with RB6 - though once in a blue moon it would stutter momentarily. So when I heard that RB7 was more CPU efficient I upgraded - and it was much much worse. Though since I was already thinking of upgrading to a new laptop, I did exactly this (Ryzen 5 laptop). So far for 3 gigs no issues so the new hardware could be resolution

Rekordbox is super CPU and RAM intensive. The upgrade to the 5 definitely helped

Rekordbox 7 billed as about 50% more CPU efficient yet runs way way worse than the Rekordbox 6 LOL. All the money this company makes being the "club standard" and they can't even hire decent programmers. So sad

I bought a new laptop and installed the latest version of rekordbox and Im having trouble to transfer my playlists from my usb to my new rekordbox without having to copy all the songs into my new laptop. Like I just want to be able to keep editing those playlist with hotcues and saving those progress into my usb but I cant, when go to Export mode- sync manager- transfer grid info it deletes all the playlist since theres none into the new rekordbox. Do I absolutely need to copy those playlist songs into my pc or theres a way they stay into the usb stick and i can save my hot cue progress ? thanks

One of the big problems with Rekordbox is: it needs a lot of ram memory to work optimally. Minimum 16 gigabytes of ram is needed!!!! Since if you want to work fluidly, 32 or more RAM. Additionally, you need a DELL, ACER or AZUS to work properly. HP or LENOVO are crap for working as a DJ, those computers are only useful for watching videos on KZbin or viewing your Facebook. Of course, it is necessary to have your operating system updated so that everything works perfectly.

The brand of PC/Laptop has nothing to do with how a program runs on it. Quality control and optimization with certain sky's may vary but they're all running on windows or Linux. Most of them are using Intel or AMD CPU's. If you're having trouble running Rekordbox the problem is most likely your CPU and maybe storage. Rekordbox will never use 16gb of RAM let alone 32. If your PC is using that much then you have too many apps/processes running, so try closing anything you're not using. Or just get a Mac... Problem solved
