This is a proper video. You simulate a club mixing enviroment. What I mean is that all those other DJ-tutorials they let you believe that you must do all kinds of tricks to mix. But the clue is, that those are almost always heavily pre prepared and rehearsed video’s that are not representive for a 2 or even 4 hour club set where you have to mix 50 to 100 tracks. Big up and good luck with all that flood that is going on

What I like about you buddy is the way you bring in random songs unlike some other DJs because they carefully choose songs that can be easily mixed like songs with intros and outros whereas in reality not all songs start like that.Thanks mate!Been djying for 7 months now and I learned from you a lot espcially house music mix.

Your Club Ready DJ videos are absolutely superb, definitely the best DJ channel on KZbin. I've never been comfortable mixing RnB and Hip Hop and this video has now given me the confidence and know-how. I've now signed up for your online DJ course too. Keep up the great work ;-)

I started djing 1 month ago and have learned SO MUCH from your videos in just one month! I am looping in and out of songs and love this framework for vocal mixing. I will highly consider getting your class because I find myself coming back to your videos often! Do you have any more content on mixing vocal-driven music (the same way we mix house and play both tracks over each other?) I find playing hiphop/rnb beats over an alternate track vocals awesome but want to get better at that!

Awesome tips bro! I play most in house parties and I always have to play HIP-HOP/RNB at some stage before i increase to House Music. How do you make the loops on beat? If you heat the loop a fraction late that can get offbeat or CDJs set this automaticaly? Can you use quantize to get it right? I come from controller and it easier with autoloop but im playing on CDJs now and its a bit hard to get it right sometimes Thanks
@ClubReadyDJSchool5 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, this could actually be another video in itself but in short: Yes make sure quantise is on so the loop snaps to the beat and if you are worried you may be using old gear that doesn't have quantise you could always set loops in advance in Rekordbox: select first 8 beats for a loop and then hit memory, then when you load the song hit the cue point and the loop will be active before even hitting play (hope that makes sense). Still not working? Check the beat grid is ok? Not sure how to sect the beatgrid or even how to set memory cues / loops then go see my free videos (especially the Rekordbox walkthrough) on my site: www.clubreadydjschool.com/freevideotraining/ loads of cool content here :) Hope I have been of service :)
@mariolibasurf5 жыл бұрын
@@ClubReadyDJSchool Im gonna try using the quantize and set the loop on rekordbox, Im new to rekordbox and CDJs but im trying to learn so i can use both Serato and Rekordbox. Thanks for the reply Im gonna check your videos you have good content, do you have any video on where to make the cue points? Also the difference of hot cue and memory cue I dont get that Cheers
@ClubReadyDJSchool5 жыл бұрын
@@mariolibasurf I have videos on cues and where to set them on my site - free section, but yes I ask for your email. I won't spam you, just a way for me to give free stuff and yes, give you an option to buy a course, but no pressure - free videos alone are enough to answer your questions and more (get you started): www.clubreadydjschool.com/freevideotraining/

Very interesting video. I have a history of music production and live looping and sampling, I e recently taken up DJing. Spinning hardcore and trance. However, I want to get into DJing at bars and such. Which is why I found this video very interesting and informative. I do already have the knowledge of phrasing and all that, the one thing I am stuck on is the huge variation in BPM in most songs that aren't a simple 4x4 beat. I played around with syncing the tempos, but some just don't sound right at all if does up or slowed down too much. Is there a way around that? Or do I need to only choose songs for a set that have tempos that are close to one another? Also, a solution to this would help when there are song requests.. Thanks-Nick

Thanks for this video! Do we need to keep mixing in key in mind if we are mixing like this ?
@ClubReadyDJSchool4 жыл бұрын
I always keep it in mind, but at the end of the day track selection is king, but if I can also play the right track at the right time and t's in key - win / win!

Amazing videos man. I can't thank you enough! It would be really cool if you did a video on selecting songs live. I have run into an issue lately where the people i am playing for are essentially at peak energy and I am playing the best song for the moment, but then..... I have no idea how to follow that track up and no idea where to go with the energy in the room.
