So true, the way they make her out to look a bit like a dumb blonde when she is actually really smart, I love the part where she outsmarted Josh's girlfriend in that one scene where he drove her home lol and all those things she did to improve her report card, that also took smarts to come up with all that. The movie is based on Jane Austen's novel "Emma". The novel begins with the marriage of Emma's former governess with a suitable gentleman that Emma had introduced her to. She then takes on matching her new friend and things turn out not right, quite like the storyline of this movie. So this adaptation changes some details but the main story is the same.
