Do you have the infamous "Clunk" or "Thud" coming from your drive shaft? If so, this is how you fix it and it's a fairly simple task by greasing the slip yokes and U-Joints (Universal Joint). Hope this helps and leave any questions you may have in the comments. Thanks for watching!

This is badass!!! I was about to do this two months ago but I saw on IH8MUD and some KZbin comments about over greasing because of the pressure on the drives haft and just dealt with it. I'll just be careful like you and possibly try this out next month. Awesome video dude!

Got to tell serv advisor and oil changer every time, then confirm with mechanic to do what service advisor omitted in work order. This way, IF lucky its done every other oil change. Just took my 07 4Runner in for an oil change and asked about getting this done since I've been having the clunk. The service tech told me they would have to diagnose the problem for $160/hour first. I told him I knew what the problem is and it just needs grease. He told me he's never heard of this and that the grease is supposed to last the life of the vehicle. I then asked why it has a port for adding grease if that was true. Anyway, guess I'll be doing this myself. I hate dealerships!

@rywanders
@rywanders 26 күн бұрын
🤔 sounds like maybe you over greased? If it’s not able to flex it can be damaging and may be the result of the noise. You can remove the zerk to allow the grease to flow out to relieve the pressure. Warning this will be messy . If you’re not comfortable with doing this take it to a shop.
