Happy Thanksgiving Lee. Buddy Boy is a great name for the pup. Gives Nickki some company. All this electronic gizmos are above most people. Instructions are like Greek. So would not feel bad about it.

They make a radio receiver that fits up under the dash or in the glovebox that plugs into that screen and a virtual stereo will appear on the screen to control it . Theirs no telling what else you can connect to the screen to operate different electronics . That mic is for hands free calling function . If you do some research you can find one that I’m describing on the internet for sure .

You got the stereo figured out. I knew you would. If you ever run out of used car speakers, you can always buy new ones pretty cheap on eBay or even from a retailer like Best Buy. Buy their “open box” speakers and save a lot of money. Head units are pretty cheap too, especially the single DIN units you like to install. I have seen several of the Atoto head units advertised for under $100. Maybe they will send you more free units? I am replacing the stereo that came in my old van and am pulling out the old one. I might send the old one to you. It’s a single DIN Blaupunkt with a CD player. It still plays. I also have some Jensen 4 ohm speakers in working condition. They are 6.5” which fit into doors. These were on the Blaupunkt radio. I will include as much of the old harness as I can so you won’t have to work too hard at hooking it up again. It’s going to be similar to the Dual radio you put in the van as far as wiring it up goes. Send me your P.O. Box and address if you want it.

You could use that old dash pad to make one out of fiberglass or you could fill the holes and cracks w/ fiberglass-strand and paint it . Might be a good idea to make a mold so you would have it .. might be worth your time .

That head unit looks about the same as the one i have. It should be able to do blue tooth and phone call stuff. The aux connector and mp3 jack is on the front of the thing and the mode button switches between them and radio stuff but It knows when a phone that it has connected to is near it. I can drive past my wife's work place and it will try and connect to her phone.

When I was young, we had a van like that and under the dog box there foam or something like that, to help keep heat and engine noise out.

The factory solution for speakers was just a single under dash speaker between the defrost vents but, with so much room for activity's, It's pretty much a big blank canvas.

A flex fan is designed to be more aggressive pulling angle at idle then flex at higher rpm to reduce drag
@gregt7224 күн бұрын
Lee, could you bend or twist the fan blades just a enough to throw a little more are into the radiator? Perhaps that would help keep it cooler. I like the idea of a sunroof. You going to do the same thing you did to your Nomad?
@clunkersandclassics4 күн бұрын
yes, same deal as the Nomad.

I may be interested in that van, is aftermarket air and option? I’m in se texas, no way without a/c
@junkyardsearcher64074 күн бұрын
Old air products, or vintage air makes universal AC systems for almost all vehicles. The trick is getting the AC pump brackets that fit the engine and getting the pulleys aligned correctly. After that all else is easy.
@floydleach79767 сағат бұрын
You can purchase an AUX-to-RCA cable to connect to the RCA jacks on the back of your radio. The AUX cable carries both the left and right audio channels, and the AUX-to-RCA adapter splits these channels appropriately. To set this up, connect the AUX cable to the tablet you’ve mounted on your dash. When you play music on your phone, the audio will pass through the AUX cord, into the RCA jacks on your radio, and play through your car speakers.

I kind wonder if gorilla glue would melt the foam on that dash pad, because i know that if you mist that stuff w. water it turns into foam that is basically like spray foam because it's polyurethane.
