Obviously it can be removed by a 'professional' eventually, but the time it would take for someone like that to remove it is valuable time for you to return back to your Motorhome and catch them in the act! Hi, if you turn the claw round you'd have more clearance at the panel so no marks and it would make it harder for someone to mess about with the lock!. Steve MCR UK.

Donno if anyone else has told you but I don’t think you need to use the key to lock it.. you can push the barrel in without the key and it will lock, just need to use the key to unlock it

Actually I've never tried that! lol. To be honest, it's very rare we use it cause normally one of us is usually in the van. But I will check that out now you've said! Nice one. 😉👍

Some good tips there Andy, I cant believe in this hi-tech age a vehicle is unable to be closed down to stop it from moving. As you point out gaining entry is more difficult to stop. A spray bottle of household cleaner could be more effective than a lot of things mate. Such sad times when we have to think of such things.

Thanks for your ongoing support mate, it is very much appreciated. In answer to your question, no, not quite. It's a bit of a toss up at the minute between a full on recording box with 4 cameras and a non-recording setup that just has a small monitor with 4 cameras. I prefer the latter myself, but it is a lot more expensive, which seems odd. I don't really want a recording box as we just want to be able to see outside when we choose. Also it's more room being taken up with a box. I also need to know that whatever we go for I really want to have it running from the 12v socket so I don't have to turn on the inverter just to look at the cameras. We will be getting on soon enough though. I will be doing a video on it soon enough. 😉👍

When talking to an insurance company recently making enquiries about motor home insurance they asked whether I had a clutch claw fitted. So they must be good if they’re asking if one will be fitted.

Yeah, it's one thing that I think is really worth having. Not so quick and easy to remove, especially how it wraps around those pedals and where it is. It's all about delaying a scumbag until I return to the van with a baseball bat. lol. 😉

My father had made - when he was still alive 1995 - a pole only for the clutch, still got it in my shed, for if I ever go ride a car again. Can't use it on my motorcycle.

Thieves have found something relatively easy to saw through. It's called a steering wheel. Locks are hard to remove these days.

Yes, but the opportunist thieves don't tend to carry saws around with them! lol. That's what that ones for. The other lock is the killer for them, and by the time they 'may be' part of the way through that is when I'm already back to the van introducing their heads to my very handy tools! Bwahahaaaa!

If you turn the lock to other way, the key hole will opposit to you, that is not easy to use the key to unlock, but safe for drill grinder.
