Clutch VR demo

Still dialing in the general rigid body physics. I broke my hand brake so this is all throttle and LFB. Not the cleanest lap but definitely a good tandem bro line.

top 3 things i dislike about assetto coras vr that you should def make. 1. intereactability of the world you are in. (im driving my car and want to turn on hazards then i just press the hazard button in vr no need for a button in real life to excist. that can be extended to things like opening door or even tuning ur car) 2. social interactions. (if assetto corsa would have full body tracking much like in vrchat and u can socialize and interact with other drivers and get out of the driver seat and they see you aswell it would be golden (imagine vibing with ur friend on the side of a touge while a bunch of other players are drifting down it. or if there is a touge battle and u go there to watch on the sidelines much like in initial d ) as i personally have times i walk around in my play space to look at my car in assetto corsa on the side of the road and its such a beautifull vibe and it would be even better the more immersive it would be made.) 3. the pain of switching servers. ideal fix would be one bigger open world map that is seperated by a bunch of small segments those segments will act similar to how destiny 2's mmo system worked aka those segments will all be seperate servers. example: i wanna go drive touge but am in the city then i go on the highway for like 5 min drive trough a portal and automatically enter the part of the map where the touge streets are and a new server at the same time. that woudnt only be easy to program but also infinitly expandable with new parts of the "map". not only that but it would be more immersive and more coherent.) in this ideal game u can add a bunch of stuff as if u want to tune ur car u can do it with ur homie in ur garage and to change the height of the car u might aswell have to change the suspension by hand i know that thats a lot harder to program but thats just added on stuff. essentially that game would be a replacement of the dying car culture around the world. the ability to drive as a passanger in someone elses car will allow a bunch of none sim racers to see it more as a social platform and might boost popularity. idea trademarked by me lol.

Full body tracking would be cool. I think the general technology isn't in the reach of most people. I definitely have had ideas of getting out of your car to interact with others. It's definitely in the cards, just down the line. The bigger world also makes a lot of sense to me. I'll have to reevaluate if/when I get funding for back end servers.
