What Punk said is absolutely correct in that with every company. Everyone is expendable In these companies. Cuz all they care about is value of money. That's one of the reasons why part of me to leave my ex work cuz it was making me physically mentally and emotionally ill even spiritually. The key is to focus on happiness and what's best for you so I agree with this video 110%. Wise words for cm punk.

I really don’t get how people, more specifically these toxic WWE mega-smarks, can hold it against Punk for leaving and saying why he left. He was literally being worked to death. They made him come back repeatedly from injury, refused to give him time off to heal and they weren’t even having him do anything that made him happy. While taking away promotional opportunities originally offered him such as movies and commercials and giving them to other people they liked instead. And they misdiagnosed his MRSA staph infection for months, which could have killed him. He took himself out of a bad situation for his own safety and happiness, and what does WWE do in response? They fire him ON HIS WEDDING DAY. Yet people wonder why he wouldn’t “stop saying mean things about my favorite company WWE”? 😆 These idiots need to get their heads out of their rectums. He wasn’t happy, he wasn’t getting rest and he was sick, so he made himself happy and un-sick by giving himself time to rest, and he looks happier than ever. Good for him. The best revenge is living well.

@@Jeff_Pryce I agree that's what people don't understand CM Punk went through hell in WWE especially dealing with Vince McMahon he almost died for this company and what did he get in return being fired on his wedding day he was dealing with depression and lost his love for professional wrestling but I'm happy that Tony Khan helped this man got his passion back showing that there's a couple out there that actually gives a f*** about professional wrestling again is that the same thing that Jon Moxley said his talk is Jericho interview that Vince McMahon is the problem and then he would creative and him going through depression and being sick and I'm glad he left WWE and he's much more happier for it and now he's a big name star in the wrestling business right now and he just became a dad I never see him so happy before I noticed it from every single person who left WWE that they got that way off their shoulders and they not depressed anymore it just remind me if I'd be a professional wrestler I would not go to WWE I don't care how much money they throw at me my health and my happiness is way more important
@Jeff_Pryce
@Jeff_Pryce 3 жыл бұрын
@@2jebeal exactly. Hell, Sasha Banks and Bryan Danielson, two stars and Wrestlemania main eventers, said at one point they were depressed because of how Vince runs the place. Sasha asked for her release in April 2019 and Vince said no. Otherwise, she’d probably be going at it with Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa in AEW right now. Both Sasha and Bryan LOVE wrestling, they never wanted to do anything else, but Vince and his toxic goons made them depressed to be doing something they love. That speaks volumes about WWE. I think the only person truly happy in that company is Vince himself; that’s it. And for that reason, I see more people eventually heading to AEW. He can keep his billion dollars and his infrastructure, whatever; I’d rather see a real alternative where people love professional wrestling.

Just to add: It was in his lower back. The WWE "doctor" only gave him z-paks that made him sick. Other wrestlers have had issues with the E's doctors negligence as well.....

It was a cyst in his lower back that turned out to be a full blown MRSA staph infection. If it had burst in him or if it continued to worsen, he could have easily died. And WWE’s incompetent doctor, Chris Amann, misdiagnosed it for months and refused to treat it.

Wrestlers taking time off to recuperate from injuries or surgeries or for health reasons, or just taking mental breaks, is not only crucial for them to be able to continue to perform long into their older age, but just makes more sense from a viewer perspective. Being bombarded with a particular performer every single time they turn on the TV, unless they're absolutely top tier infectious personalities like Austin and Rock were, runs the risk of overexposure or creatively diluting characters. I don't entirely blame Vince or management for wanting to keep Punk on TV if he was part of big storylines, but if he needed time off, it would've been far better to find appropriate times to write him off, give him time to rest up and regroup, and by the time he reappeared, he could've been in better shape, and may not have wanted to not wrestle for 7 years. Instead, they ran him into the ground, he saw WWE for what it was, and almost quit the business for good. Glad to see him back, and in AEW. Can't wait to go to Dynamite live this week because of it.

Fair enough Punk, but you should have told Vince you need to leave for a year, or two. He would have obliged no doubt, he did it for Jericho too for example. But instead, you were angry at him that he didn't consider your well-being first and by himself, when in fact he had like hundreds of people on his payroll and numerous things to look after on a daily basis. He probably would've persuaded you to stay, but you know, you're a grown up? You can make your own decisions too? It's not like they weren't wrong or arrogant in many ways, no doubt they were. But playing the victim card...IDK. Perhaps he is right, IDK anymore.

Actually, he did ask for time off. But Vince rushed him back several times. After Wrestlemania 29, Punk was supposed to take 4 months off to heal from surgery on his knees. Vince rushed him back in 2 months because Payback was in Chicago and Vince couldn’t sell it out without Punk. Punk said no, but Vince kept pushing and pushing by telling him how much he was needed because the roster was thin on talent. Punk agreed because Vince said he would “owe him one,” and Punk thought by doing Vince the favors he was asking, he would be considered for the main event of Wrestlemania, his career goal at the time. But of course, Vince never paid back the favor and just kept working him into the ground until Punk felt he had to leave for his own health. Seeing as how they misdiagnosed that MRSA staph infection for months that could have killed him, Punk definitely made the right decision.

I dated a wrestler for about a year. They work hard, they get injured and are expected to ignore it and work. They’re also exposed to drugs for pain with easy access to them. Of course not legally by a Dr. . They get knees and elbows drained to continue working when they need it because of an injury. Let’s just say it’s not done professionally. They don’t get paid as much as you might think. They travel all over without compensation for it. It’s a terrible career for anyone. As fake n corny as it is, the truth is it’s hard work with little reward unless you make it big. If you have made it big you’ve been through all the things I’ve mentioned in my comments. The injuries they suffer last a lifetime n don’t get better as they get older n there’s little if no protection for these injuries monetarily through their employment as wrestlers. It’s a shity business for the wrestlers. Great for the people in charge. 🤑

Yes it was dramatic. He can't admit that he simply couldn't cut it in WWE. There is a lockeroom full of people who work for the same guy, same schedule, same wear and tear. Yet he was going to die? CM Punk chose to come back early from injuries out fear of losing his spot because of his obsession of being Wrestlemania main event, despite clearly being fragile. Jon Moxley's reasons for leaving are far more credible than this dramatic crap. CM Punk. Shooter Mcgavin of wrestling.
