I remember Bret Hart in a shoot interview saying that he called himself the Excellence of Execution not just because he was a great storyteller and technical wrestler, but because he never hurt anyone in the ring. CM Punk goes to AEW and he gets injured twice. Of course, the AEW marks blame him for it because he stepped into their fun little rich kid playground and actually turned it into a serious business for a while. Love or hate him, he's the biggest draw they ever had and MJF has gone from a really talented guy to a main event wrestler and maybe the most talked about guy in the business during Punk's time there. There have been plenty of guys who didn't get along in locker rooms. The Kliq, Hulk Hogan... of course, the people who hate Punk are mostly millennials who don't remember and don't care about those guys. They like their psychology-free circus freaks. Some of the best matches AEW ever had were between CM Punk and MJF. It would have been perfect for MJF to be put over by Punk for the title, but now the markiest champion ever, Jon Moxley Good, has to do it without hurting him. Being safe in the ring is everything, and back in the day, if a non-draw injured your top draw, they would have been suspended or fired. But Tony Khan doesn't need the money. He's playing his own real life wrestling video game, not a wrestling promotion. Hopefully Warner Bros drops AEW so Tony will get the wake up call that he needs. It's not All Elite Wrestling. It's not All Elite or Wrestling. It's Spoiled Children In A Playground.

If a story is being pushed out one sided, it’s far from the truth of what actually happened. All these rumors trying to drag punks name in the mud with no proof whatsoever and make the other guys look good is fishy to me. If the roles were reversed, I would have felt the same way. Some of these guys in the lockeroom calling him a cancer had nothing but nice things to say about punk when he was around then. And now that he’s a open target, stories come spewing out? Is it a coincidence that all of this happened when punk won the belt?

The man needs to just stay retired. The money obviously doesn’t make him happy. The atmosphere and the job clearly makes him a very bitter angry person. That doesn’t mean he is a bad person. He just needs to step down and focus on other projects which make him happy, which he was doing for 7 years before. Let’s face it, he left a lasting legacy on wrestling (mostly very positive) that will never be forgotten.
