Punk reminds us dreams don't come true just wanting something isn't enough and you can't skip the years of hard work, practice and achieve everything with guts, self belief , and expect to have a chance against those that did... Punk is definetly a nice guy, can't say anything bad about him but i dont like how he was even given this shot. He had absolutely no business in the UFC.

There's a kind of parallel universe in which Phil Brooks finds MMA as a youth, becoming a UFC champion and hall of famer. He later tries to transition into the WWE only to be worked out of professional wrestling in just a couple matches for being too stiff, despite his skill on the mic

guy really went through a lot of shit for chasing his MMA dream. moved his family to be closer to training centre only to be humiliated in the Octagon in front of the world - twice. it really was all in or nothing for him. respect

@@treasurer3763 problem is he was signed to the world s biggest stage and his lack of fighting talent, IQ and athleticism was laid bare for the world to see even against nobodies. @SociopatheAssume

No, Gall was a UFC fighter, this is the reason punk should have started in smaller companies, to gather experience : even the beast Lesnar did that, and we are talking about a man who had ncaa wrestling level, and was UFC champion , so how TF you think punk could have simply walked in the highest level MMA company with ZERO real fights under his belt and only 2 years training , against a guy half his age, who trained for MMA since he was a kid and had already won several fights. So no, Gall was no "really tough fighter, he was average level for UFC, he was no Jon Jones or Mc Gregor. But 500K plus ego made punk believe he could step in the highest level MMA company just like that, with almost any blood sweat and tears.
