Modern fans really have no clue how good BJ was and how good Nick was. Two absolute legends. BJ fought anyone didn’t matter the weight and if he was motivated in shape he was extremely hard to handle. Good striking and his ground game was unbelievable. Nick was a cardio machine with unbelievable pressure and was always pressing talking to you and also crazy ground game. Also a guy who would fight anyone at 70&85. BJ was a natural 155 but was forced to fight at 70 and even fought Machida when he was at light heavy.
@Gematrinator Жыл бұрын
For that time? Sure. Nowadays anyone in the top 10 would beat either prime or not, the games just evolved alot.
@bluemoonrpg326 Жыл бұрын
@@Gematrinator you have no clue what you’re talking about at all. I’m assuming you’re under 30 if so you’re opinion is totally irrelevant and dumb. These guys today aren’t even that good. GSP was from that same era and he’d dominate today if he was that same age. Stop you sound goofy as hell
@user-nv2wt4hi8t Жыл бұрын
@@Gematrinator Yeah, but people always, always seem to forget: Nick and BJ and whoever else, would have the same knowledge, the same techniques and approaches, that have come about since their time. So given their talent, skill and hard work, it's very easy to see them applying the same newer parts of the game now as anyone else.

@Peuudds5 ай бұрын
He was almost crying because he and Penn were friends (before the fight). He didn't want to fight Bj Penn because they were friends and stuff. But bj penn, besides signing the contract first, still invented lies and talked shit about him, so he agreed to fight. so much so that when the fight ended and he went after the trainer and the camera he kept saying ''I didn't want this shit''. In addition to the fact that the UFC tried to paint an image that was not Nick Diaz, they tried to paint the guy as a bully since he was a guy who liked to fight and had several internal problems linked to depression (due to the death of his ex-girlfriend)

@Ян Yea. It's wierd to see him and Nate with such a strong persecution complex. I've literally had Nate tell me to my face that he hasn't lost any decisions, and that he always gets fucked over by "The UFC judges" I mean, he said those exact words. These guys definitely feel they were conspired against
@trinking Жыл бұрын
@@floatinggoose9197 they may have been conspired against..a lot of weird things happen when those 2 guys are involved. I understand they may be difficult to “work” with but that shouldn’t stop them from fighting. Cowboy’s final UFC fight was against who??? Nate’s possible final fight in the UFC shouldn’t be against a (very soon to be) future champion. If Nate wins he’s not gonna get a title shot next fight but Khamzat DEFINITELY will. Nick’s suspension was a pretty obvious case of the “good guys” taking the opportunity to use a Diaz brother as an “example”.
