Onion - 1no.
Tomato - 5nos.
Garlic - 6pods
Coriander seeds - 1tsp
Khuskhus - 3/4tsp
Fried gram - 1tsp
Red chilly - 3nos.
Green chilly - 1no.
Coconut - 1small cup
Garam masala - 1tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
Oil - 3tsp
Saunf -1/2tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4tsp
Salt to taste

Mallika madam is very down to earth. What a great cook and chef she is, but what humility, what egoless frank loving person. She talks as if she is like a relative. Really her you tube channel is a great welcome and will be in demand.Such a nice teacher and still very soft natured. Thanks for her channel.

Mallika ji I am so happy you have a channel if your own . I have been learning so much from you before my marriage I self when I was in Chennai since thirty years.. Good you cook would always be delicious I can guarantee because of your smiling and laughing temperament. Your bubbly nature woul permeate the food. . I am glad I got you in the launching itself. I live in Hampi Karnataka a place where Aval is used with so many variations. I too often make Aval kesari. A must for krishnashtami. The first recdipe itself is my daughter and my favourite. I am going to try this on my eight month old grand daughter. Mam you must come to our place . more about our place next. Thank you and take care.

Ms. Chitra's xplanation is easier simple & Ms. Mallika 's is quite informative , but too much xplanation on recipe.. . Sounds complex. Cooking flow follow panna kashtamaa iruku... Thaniya verum tips maadhri sollalaam.

All oil brands are petroleum byproduct madam not oil. So only we need to use checku oil.

We should eat only sea salt. It contains sodium. Where's Himalayan rock salt contains potassium. We can eat it in small quantity for taste purpose not as substitute for sea rock salt.sea rock salt should be normal should not contain iodine. We need to fry daily rock sea salt requirement in mud pot daily. We need to fry salt and burn puli a proverb in tamil. Or we should get iodine rock salt and fry with murunga keerai illai and use.himalyan rock salt is for taste not as a substitute for rock salt. We should not use table salt. This is what I learnt about salt madam.
