Excellent, informative and methodical with part numbers! Do you know what Amps that DW pump draws? My Walbro 255 just died at about 11 years in and I'm looking to replace with a Bosch 044 but I'm worried about factory wire gage not being enough for ~ 10 - 15 amps in 25F degree temps.

You could contact DW for the draw. And yes even Skyline guys upgrade to an external fuel pump relay in part due to wire gauge.

@@CMAutohaus Thanks for the reply! I was going to compare various pumps and their amp draws. I don't have a super high fuel demand so if it's feasible I'd rather not go the direct battery power to the fuel pump via external relay route if I don't have to. Thanks again! Your video is very helpful mate. I also need to replace the fuel pump on my R33 Gtst Skyline, but I can't remove the bottom one of the two hoses on the right side. It's a nightmare. Looks like the hose is stock... Any help with that? I don't want to use a screwdriver, just to not damage the hose.

How do you slide the fuel pump back in I can't seem to find the part that holds the hanger in there. Excellent video by the way.

On a GTST there should be a Zinc colored bracket. The fuel pump slides straight down on 2 legs (farthest left)

I get everything. But my only concern is that fuel gauge coming back down. Does it come down as you drive? Or is it supposed to come down right away?

No concerns. Been running the pump for a long time now with a few driving events

Fuel level sender is for gtst is discontinued so you can try the FB groups. Radium should have a drop in fuel pump hanger solution

Hey friend, to remove the fuel level sender in the tank, do you slide it left/right to remove it? I remember not being able to budge it at all and eventually gave up. I want to clean it as it's giving me wrong fuel levels. I might time it at the same time as installing a new fuel pump so I can get two stones with one bird. I'll be using your video as reference for that work! Many thanks for this video!

Try Amayama.com or you may have to buy a used one. The middle east and UAE seems to always have discontinued or hard to find classic JDM parts
